On the knife exchange, why do we hide the sale price after it’s gone? It seems like it would be very helpful if the sales price was left on the post for reference. Who started this and why?

There are many threads about this already. Coles notes is as follows:

Some people view their sales as private, which they are. So they erase the prices after the fact because nunya.

Some people think the prices should remain as a record, and there may be some utility to this practice, but it doesn't supersede the right to privacy.

Yea, been a while since I did this, heading to laptop lol ..So the forum automatically embeds the links, no wonder it looked so bad on my phone.
I am also using the dark profile on my phone, so that obscures the links anyway on the android.

The laptop is rarely used for my forum surfing anymore. Good to see the same old threads still pop up I guess.

Doesn't bother me because what would remain would be the asking price. That's not a very useful metric imo. Selling price or trade details maybe, but that seems like the business of the buyer/seller.

...So what did they say?
