Beautiful ZT and awesome GB. Pls dont post the ZT again, as Im trying to cut back on knife buying and am losing any will power to withstand the lure of that ZT.

I had just managed to mentally block a pic of it, which somebody posted the other day,

The 456 really is a fantastic knife. When first released I wasn't all that impressed by its looks. So I really wanted to spend my money on the pretty 804. But as luck would have it, the 456 was available to me first, and I bit. It is now one of my favorites of all time in the "beefy, can do almost anything" category. One more pic paired with the Chap and Beagle. [emoji56]

I dont like you!!!:D

That (mentally blocked) pic shows its stubby compactness even better. A great looking knife.

If the 456 appeals to you at all and weight does not bother you, you really do need to get one. One of my favorite all time ever made production knives. Everyone I have convinced to get one has responded with nothing but high praise about the knife and it owns most of their pockets. Hate him all you want but you will thank him one day when that pic is the reason you are flipping a 456 out of your pocket;)

To stay on topic. I almost always carry 2 knives. I typically keep the smaller one in my right from pocket and the bigger one in my lower right cargo pocket. I am not sure how this started happening but I think it is mostly do to the way I box stuff up. I would often leave my only knife on a counter from cutting tape, move to the other counter to cut a box, and would not have a knife on me. During the week right now I have a Half track up high and ZT0456 low and then on the weekend I typically have the ZT0456 high and a XM-18 or 24 low.

I will always have two knives (at least) if I am in the woods beyond some wanderings close to a highway. They would often include my regular large SAK and a fixed blade of my choice for the day. Everyday (EDC), I tend not to use the second knife very often and as a result, it often gets left at home. But I do often carry a Leatherman Squirt PS4 on a key ring which has a blade, or a Leatherman Style PS5 which does not have a blade in addition to a folder.

I tend to binge with knives.... carry two everyday for a while and then go back to one primary knife. Lately I have been carrying a small fixed blade as a second knife often. Why? I like knives. Why else?

Large is also kind of relative as many would consider my SAK "large". I consider in "normal". Small to me is something like the GEC #14 Boys Knife or something less than 3.5" overall closed length and generally fairly slim.

The Skeletool does the rough and dirty stuff as well as being pliers and a screwdriver, the traditional does the slicing and the food.

I carry one for for heavy duty long cutting endurance, and then one fine edge low wear resistance for precision cuts and for situations when in certain company a larger blade would raise eyebrows or draw unwanted attention.

For 20 years I carried a Knighthawk and Calypso for ranching. The fixed blade did the digging, scraping and hacking while the folder did the slicing, rope, leather, and twine cutting. I gave the Buck to a neighbor when I retired but I still have the prototype for a photo. Now that I'm retired and living on the water I carry a more refined folder and a small fixed blade for cutting bait and spreading butter etc.

Feeling pretty dumb. Just can't figure out how to post photos. Even after reading the threads.

seber, what you want is to find the direct link to the image and drop it inside image tags. The direct link should end in a photo file extension, like .jpg. Looks like photobucket has a "direct link" option on the side of your pic; that's the one you want. Alternatively, you can right-click on your pic and select "open image in a new tab" (or however your browser phrases it) and that usually takes you to a direct link as well.

So for your pics, you would want

[IMG]http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah16/seber061seber06/current%20carry_zps17vymy0w.jpg[/IMG] (image tags are bolded here).

which should display your pic like this:

and

And good call on the Southard; enjoy carrying one of those myself.

I often carry a Zero Tolerance and a Victorinox Cadet together. The reason I carry both is, for smaller tasks and in tasks in public to be more "friendly" I use the cadet.

It appeals to me A LOT!:)
Heft/weight doesnt bother me.

Im backed into a corner; either I hate mysel for not buying it or SWMBO will hate me for buying it. Ive been on a knife buying spree ...and I really shouldnt....but then again, its such a great looking knife and it just oozes quality..... Can feel my will power giving in, as mentioned:)

Right now. I'm carrying the 808 loco and the skeletool cx...tho I carry my 808 on my left side as I'm a lefty...heh. Patiently awaiting for my EK&T companion then ill switch to that for my small...Tho I could carry a bradford as well and a 0804cf which would be a good combo...Also i sometimes carry 2, 1 for an edc size and one for a possible defensive blade.
