why does spyderco use the outline of a tick for their logo?

I think the tick logo is appropriate because Spyderco has latched onto my wallet and is slowly sucking it dry.

I've noticed that the logo is really dark, bold and easy to see on my PM2. However, it's light and harder to see on the tenacious. Why is that? Are all the value folders and or cheaper knives light and harder to see?

Each maker has their own method of engraving the logos and tang markings. Each steel takes those markings a bit differently as well. I suspect all the models in the Tenacious family are made by one maker, and I know they all use the same steel, so I'd assume the markings would look similar on all of them.
