Why does the new software not hold my login?

Edit: just noticed that there was more than one page of comments in this thread and somebody else already mentioned this. Doh!

It might be some of you are using bookmarks that don't include the "https://" in the url.

I was having the same issue and just noticed that the bookmarked page I was using to get to BF doesn't have https part in the url.



If I go to the main BF page the https part gets added and I am logged in.

 
I was getting the same with Firefox, I went into option, privacy, remove individual cookies, search for bladeforums and delete all those cookies, restart firefox and login again.

I was having the same issue (Chrome on Android) and determined it was only happening if I use the "quick link" categories button (or the (3) Horizontal Lines button on the mobile version).

Viewing my "Content", New posts, or manually navigating to the sub-Forums did not log me out; only when using the "Quick Links/Categories" menu.

All the sub-Forums/links in the Categories section are all HTTP:// (not https://).

Perhaps @Spark can modify these links and sub-Forums categories to include the secure URL link to see if that resolves the problem?
 
I have had login problem on Firefox all day, when it looses my login it will not login again till i wipe the bladeforum cookies and then i can logo in and it remembers, but after a couple of hours it seems to loose the login again. :mad:

I am on many forums and bladeforums is the only one that i have log-in problems with.

Try a different browser, Iron, Opera, Chrome, Edge, IE 22, etc. See if that changes anything.
 
I'm running Chrome on an Android tablet and having the same issue.
I'll try the 'https' and see if I stay logged in.
 
Firstly I am just going to say everyone should use HTTPS anywhere and anytime it is available as for the problem I suspect it is something where the browser doesn't view or treat HTTP and HTTPS as the same site so if you somehow flip from one to the other you effectively get logged out.
 
I can log in to the name home page yet as soon as I try to access the blade exchange, the thread which I mainly upgraded my membership to access, it logs me out and any attempt to log in only refreshes the page and I remain not logged in. I've tried to email blade forums multiple times asking for help and have not received any response. I have been having great difficulty only just trying to log in. It is very very aggravating. Only certain threads I can access and remain logged in to my account and typically they are not threads i ever use. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? Please help

If I'm on a https page and go to a non-https page, it doesn't recognize that I'm logged in. It seems that when using the Quick Navigation (the little tree thingy in the bottom corner) the links take you to non-https pages. When that happens I just use the back button, and access the sub-forums from the main page.

I'm no expert, but maybe those links just need to be updated?

Frustrating. Using iOS with Chrome on IPhone. Logs me out constantly. I've done all the cache clearing, etc.
 
It is improved by using https, but when I click the link to edit the title of a thread, it logs me out.
 
I've switched my bookmarks to the Http S and that works

However

The "Categories" link and all the links under it are not "S'ed" and I get logged out.

It would be nice to navigate the site again.

Maybe those links need fixin ?
 
At least I know now I am not the only one.
Android/Firefox.
I have to log in everytime starting a couple days ago. I made no changes to my phone.
 
So obviously we are all having the same problem .... does anyone know what's being done to fix the issue? Clearing cache, and http"s" is one thing but I would not consider it a "fix" as in allowing me.to navigate this forum the way I used to be able to... very frustrating
 
All I can say is my problem spontaneously resolved after about 24 hours.
