Same here. When I was a kid, that's how you knew it was winter. Snow on the ground most of the time. Not so these days. I miss it. The wife and I are both winter people We love the snow.
 
Call me a curmudgeon, tell me I'm getting soft in my old age, I don't care. I don't miss the snow and months of deep-freeze temps in WI one little bit.

We've already got a good portion of our seeds sprouted and starting to form "true" leaves. Last year we had plants in the ground in April and harvested the last carrots and onions in November. The cabbage out back is still alive. I like that much better than shoveling snow for 5 months straight :D

I have been consuming less alcohol lately and have noticed I don't feel like death crawling out of a sewer in the morning. I'm thinking there is a correlation.

Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence...it takes three times to be a pattern. You can't claim a correlation until you have sufficient sample size. :D

When I was in class for Lean Six Sigma (the latest TQM-ish fad), we discussed the fact that ice cream sales and shark bites are correlated. It so happens that both increase in the summer, but (so far) causality can not be proven. The assumption is that they both increase then because it's hot out and more people eat ice cream, and more go to the beach and get bitten. But who knows, maybe there is a secret connection between the dairy industry and ocean-going predators....

So Sears wants to charge me $150+bulbs to change the headlight bulbs. Apparently the Yaris hatchback has a bunch of extra crap making it difficult to change the bulb.

I said forget it, I'll do it myself.

The only negative thing I have to say about my Prius is that it's $150 per headlight bulb + $150 labor to replace 1 or 2.

Every light bulb in a Prius is user replaceable EXCEPT the damn headlights. The bumper has to be dropped in order to access the headlights. When I found that out, after one of them crapped out 3 years ago, I went ahead and had them replace both headlights while they were at it so I didn't have to pay to have the bumper dropped again when the other bulb died.

Looks like I may have to lower the bumper as well. But judging from videos online, it's not too difficult, so I'm going to take a crack at it. Worst case scenario, I have to cancel dinner plans tonight.

You know, that's a great idea.
Now would be a good time for me to change the oil in my truck since I'll be able to slide in an out of there so easily on all this snow and ice.
