Good morning all and happy Sunday!

Dinner last night was German style roast with noodles and mushroom gravy along with rotkohl, or red cabbage.

Breakfast this morning was Eggs Benedict with bacon instead of Canadian bacon (no offense to Canadians, eh).

Feeling pretty good right now with my second cup of coffee.

Exactly; it reminded me of Yggdrasil from Norse mythology. Ang insisted on snapping a pic of me with that gnarly ol' beech, and I'm glad she did. It's very humbling to stand next to something that huge and contemplate all the many decades it has survived. I'm looking forward to visiting it again in a few weeks when it buds out and grows new leaves. :thumbup:

Thanks, Daizee. Happy birthday to you and Todd. Also was Gary Graley's b-day yesterday. I wonder what attracts all these Aquarians to knifemaking?

That tree is awesome, JT. It is kind of fun to contemplate what those old trunks have lived through. We have some in town that have been here before there was a town (almost 400 years ago (1623)). Perhaps it is an Ent.

Nice tree shot James. There was a huge tree here, probably the biggest, and oldest in town, that they recently cut down. About made me sick. Anywhos, I manipulated this photo a few times:

That is very cool, just dont know that I would trust that welded tang construction. Its a shame he didnt make his own blade all in one piece with the hand, he obviously has the skills. Very cool.
