I don't know about you all.
But when I finish an eleven-and-a-half-mile, eight-and-a-half-mile hike, I like to fire up the Sportsman.
Chicken and veggies...

their first offering on those ran out in 3 days -- now we know why. :)
did they restock yet?
I would love to have a guyot/nalgene 38 oz -- or a kleen kanteen 40, if the walls were a smidgeon thicker so it wasn't as likely to dent.

WW -- like I said, if you don't need the wide mouth for ease of water filtration, there are LOTS of options under $30.

I have been using a Klean Kanteen 40 oz. for a few months now. It is in pretty rough shape, but hasn't split open yet so I keep using it. IIRC, I paid less than $20 for it.

Man, what a week. We stopped in Clarion PA for the night. Be good to be back home.

Murph came by today and we worked in the shop all day, we heard the worse comotion there ever was, went outside the shop only to find that my two darling children where in the middle of a fight. Throwing sand at each other and calling each other names. Well, I don't tolerate that. So, they got to sit on the step and hold hands. The only way they was allowed to talk was to tell each other how much they loved each other and how great the other was. It was torture on them. Haha. After that torture they got to pick weeds in my flower garden, it must of worked. Before they went to bed, they both hugged and said I love you. But at the time, they where less than excited. Check out this pic! Lol!

Took off Thursday morning to do some camping. Overall we had a good time, but it coulda been better if the darn wind woulda died down. Thursday it was just my gf and I. We set up camp and I got a fire going using my BK9. I wrapped some corn on the cob with bacon and tin foil and threw them in the firepit. Fired up the Smokey Joe and grilled some chicken on that and thew the leftover bacon in a cast iron pan over the firepit. Friday the GF's brothers showed up with their families. One rented a "cabin" for the weekend and the other used a small travel trailer. They ended up close to each other and we were a ways away, so we tore our camp down and set it back up right by them. Seems we all brought enough food to feed an army, so lots of food was consumed, beer was drank, and the campfire never went out until we put it out this afternoon. We managed to get some fishing time in and caught some walleye, perch, and bullhead. I was the winner of the biggest fish contest with a decent eating size walleye. I have to head to work in a bit, but when I get home my bed is going to feel amazing!!

Hey fellas, my sister-in-law is starting beauty school, and for those who have Facebook, I would greatly appreciate it if you would go to the Aveda Institute of Denver page, and "Like" her picture (captioned "Welcome Renee to our Aug. Cosmetology class! — with Renee Delvecchio."). She's a good looking girl, so this shouldn't be too much of a hardship, I hope :)

If she gets to 100 likes, she'll get free stuff and bonus points for her class.

Thanks for the help for you FB types.

On an unrelated note, took the 9 to the top of Mt Massive last week (14,500 feet above sea level).

Done, she's 3/4 the way there.

Done, at 77, almost there..

UPS has my custom R4 knife on board for delivery today but my road gets closed everyday from 10-4 because this place is stupid.

On a unrelated note i also find out this morning that veterans get a nice discount from the "Swamp" And they even adjusted my standing orders :) Its nice to get a "useful" veteran discount.

And in closing Derek is gay.

The Guyot Backpacker is great at 32 oz, and works really nicely for a couple of things, but I would love to have an option for something straight sided as well.

The Backpacker can have the Stanley cookpot thing nest on the outside, and you can then nest a glacier or one of the new Pathfinder cups (like the glacier but taller) on the outside of that, and it takes up about as much space as the straight sided Guyot Original model 38oz. As far as quality and durability though, nothing else comes even close to the Guyots. I think they have them on Amazon for something like $18.

So, just got back this morning. Spent the weekend camping and fishing. Caught 3 crappies.

Even managed to snag a couple of pictures. First one is Matt (my brother) clearing out the space for the campsite

This is of the space set up, hammock is mine, tent is his. Becker BK-9 and TMHawk are in the picture also but they are small

And finally, Saturday night small fire

I lucked into one, and grabbed it while they were available. I didn't see this last batch come up, or I might have ordered another.

While it was funny, im not sure the movie grown ups 2 had any point at all, i mean i dont think there was a plot, if there was i never got it......

Internship is starting out funny so far....... its going to be hard not to laugh with these actors.... But i thought the same thing with grown ups 2.... i laughed but stand up comedy has more of a plot than that movie...
