nozh2002==you are correct about the phos.& sul.content in swedish iron ore.i posted a metallurgist 3 wks. ago in sweden.he said the facts on swedish ore were true but had no revelance in regard to modern steels since 99.9 of steel was from recycled metal.the mills can manf.any alloy down to .02 or greater purity as to elemental comp.as a side note the english recognised the superior swedish iron in 1800s.they liked to make their world famous razors with it.this is a funny--german razor makers used to etch razors;made from english razor steel.
