Why isn't the Game Warden a Production blade?

Dam that thing looks mean!

When I was about 12 I use to ride my bike to this crazy Frenchman's ranch in Sonoma and fish in his pond. There was one hitch. I always had to be sure the cat was locked up before I went into the pond area. The pond area had about a 12 foot fence around it. The cat was a Bengal Tiger:eek:, and it was HUGE.

One day I checked the cat and went to the pond and about an hour later looked up and saw that it was lose in the pond area. Thank god it was well fed and I was near an exit. After that we had a sign I'd put up that said I was fishing so the caretaker knew I was there.

Yes truth is stranger than fiction. And that is why I need a TIGER WARDEN and should be "King for a Day."

That is crazy! Must have been good fishing.

I feel your pain. I have yet to see one at the store as well. But I am east coast and by the time skunk puts them up I am in bed. Also I flatly refuse to pay the moronic prices people are asking for on the aftermarket for this huge production tiny little blade.

I wish I had more time to fart around on my cmputer, but my work isn't sitting behind a computer so I miss a lot of the stuff.

I, too, am in the same boat. I'm working my butt off and have to get to bed at a reasonable hour so I can get in to work. I've some how managed to miss most all of the G.W offerings. I'd love to get a few more, but can't stay up waiting for the blades to mysteriously appear. If they'd come up at a reasonable hour for us on east coast time, I'd be thrilled.

I guess, I could beg someone on the west coast to buy in my stead, but that just some how doesn't seem right, but I might have to resort to that anyway.

Come on Skunk help out us Hogs on eastern time, bro.

The Game Warden IS a regular production model that we make exclusively for the Busse Company Store. . . You should see some of the other company store exclusives that will be coming out in '07. . . ! ! ! ! !

Jerry

Jerry, it's just so tough to get these great blades AND keep a job that allows us to pay you for them, when thay are only on sale at late hours.

I have tought long and hard about this. Here goes. When I first found Busse I read Jerry's letter on why he sold on the internet and not through dealers. Made sense. Now I realize the secondary market are Jerry's dealers. I have spent 9 months sitting on the company store trying to get one of the knives I want. I am on the West Coast. In 9 months (WAY TOO many hours on the computer) I have not seen ONE knive available that I wanted. I wanted an Orange GW, but I went to scouts ( I am a leader) and missed the whole thing. I want one at $217. Not to be. I bet I can get one on the exchange for $350 in two weeks. I read the threads about how some buy large numbers of knives and then see them on the exchange the next week. I do not want to be a dealer. I want to buy one knife and use it. I do not want long waits, but this company store thing is destroying my interest in Busse Knives.
I apologize for my rant, but Shunk's comment about a big shipment made me think I had a chance. It was not to be. You need to figure out how to keep people from buying huge numbers of knives at one time.

Last nights wardens were released ~6:30 PM or so PST..... if they get released much earlier the west coast crowd will still be at work!

Not to mention... Skunk has released them before noon a time or two (the green linen wardens come to mind).

No matter how hard I try, it seems everytime I leave my computer for work, chores, family etc, they come up and I miss out, which is why I refuse to play the lottery, I'll never win.

The problem isn't the Companystore, it's CompanyStoreII, otherwise known as ebay and the Exchange. Everyone understands that Wausseon steel appreciates with time, and that an extravaganzaa blade may bring a little more if you need to pay a cc down or get a new windshield...but 48 hours? :thumbdn: There's no excuse for that kind of behavior, except that you bought something for the sole purpose of ripping everyone else off.

Now where's my $325 Orange Warden?

im on the west coast as well, i have been lucky in getting an orange, green scale, red, and tan. i missed the blk, green satin, snakeskin, and smogs at the store. i waited for the blk smog satin, and snakeskin deals i felt were fair, and amy scored me a smog serrated. i still havent seen a green satin i was able to buy.

i like the set up, the persistent usually get the knives, when i am unable to be on the computer, i miss out. thats life.

the ganzas and store offerings are two of the many reasons i love and collect busses. they add excitement to my purchases, something no other maker can offer. and the limited availability ensures i can sell/trade what i get any time i want.

ROCK ON JERRY, SKUNK, AMY-O, GARTH, AND EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!

There's definitely a "thrill of the chase" on this board.

I find it all endlessly entertaining. Don't change a thing. Here's one happy camper.

As far as 2ndery market, it goes both ways, don't it? Where are all these pirates, anyways. I look at the for sale forum everyday, and I mostly see offerings from recognizable/respectible hogs. I see gouging at the auctions, but not really around here. I bought a bunch of stuff from a Hog a few weeks ago at amazing prices. I just bought a Hell Razor from Stomper (thanks again bro) for damn near what he'd have paid for it after his shipping costs. I have a way of dealing with people who charge too much for something. I don't buy it.

i figured 7 mountain time was the fairest, gives the west coast an hour to get home from work and the east coast would only be 9pm.

very few orders are for only one warden, but with the heavy heart almost all were for only one... as well as the mole jack.

jerry designed the warden to be an affordable edc blade made to use or collect. for around 3000k a collector could have 15 blades all different and they would fit in one drawer or make a nice display.

in the long run i'm sure it's all porkerson's fault.

so skunk, two things,,,,

1. were there more than 50 of each warden last night?
2. how about a pick of the tiger hunter.

please......?

All i have to say, strategy and teamwork....

Scored 2 for me and 2 for my partner in crime...

Yeah, sometimes yous pays your moneys and yous gets what cha gets...I have yet to purchase a blade from the store directly, but thanks to gun shows and Thatmguy, BFC and WHEEEbay I have managed to grab a few Busses & Swamp Rats. I pay what I am willing to pay. Would I like to score at the Co. store? Sure...but with patience and a great deal from Jdunks, I got a Skeleton Warden for nearly (if not at) Co. store price plus shipping. The thrill of the hunt, the smell of defeat, the rush of victory...who else but Busse can bring all this to a knife purchase?
