Why isn't the Game Warden a Production blade?

Yeah, keep in mind if you want a blade from teh Co Store, yer gonna pay $7-15 in shipping. Anything on the exchange will require another $5-10 to ship insured. So yer lookin at a initial markup of 12-25 just to cover teh original purchaser's costs.

Heck, I just got a SW from Rat for $180. If I had ordered one, I'd have paid about. . . 180. It sat there for 2 days at that price.

Some of the markup is crazy. Some isn't bad. Being willing to pay $50 more, shipped, than what they went for doesn't seem too bad to me. It's costing you a true $25 markup. Eh. OK. The dude selling them isn't retiring on this.

And some are more popular than others. Orange? ORANGE? (Truth be told, I'll probably keep the orange and dump out my jungle - only b/c I hope to USE my knife. But otherwise, the jungle is cooler lookin.) I like my Snakeskin. I like, from afar, the orange. I hope to like the Skeleton (or I'll dump it out for my cost) and I MIGHT like the Tiger. Nothing else coming up jingled my jangle yet. Plus, how many "user" knives can I have? (Asks the guy guy with more "carry guns" than days to carry them.)

Oh, and that smell of defeat? Usually bourbon :) Try it. You'll mellow out after a few defeats!

i like the set up, the persistent usually get the knives, when i am unable to be on the computer, i miss out. thats life.

the ganzas and store offerings are two of the many reasons i love and collect busses. they add excitement to my purchases, something no other maker can offer. and the limited availability ensures i can sell/trade what i get any time i want.

ROCK ON JERRY, SKUNK, AMY-O, GARTH, AND EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!

I agree...the setup has always been fun....even in the days of the exclusive email offerings you had to be on a list to get.

My beef is with people snapping up a ridiculous quantity of an obviously limited knife. Per order limits and shorter timeouts on the carts are all good improvements that'll curb that type of behaviour.

I have a way of dealing with people who charge too much for something. I don't buy it.

Amen, exactly what I have said everytime this topic comes up. If some guy buy 50 wardens or some such crap (not directed at you Jaxx) and he turns around with a huge markup on them, don't buy them. If the guy has to sit on several thousand dollars in knives for a year, I doubt he'll do that too often.

When I can get in on these things I try for three or so, one to use and a pair to stow away, if I have the funds for it. These days it is one at a time and hoping I get lucky to be online when they come out.

Ok, so life is not fair.

Learn to deal with it.

Think about it, an "Exclusive" one that sells on the resale market for a large mark up, The Company Store could just raise the price till it takes two weeks to sell out instead of two hours.

The Company Store is and has been a great place to get a Busse knife with out the long wait.

It has been the closest to fair of any Business I have seen and I am very pleased with buying from them.

The Marketing for the New Game Warden has been Really well thought out and seems to be working well, I may even get one or two at some point.

Sort of like the Pork Belly Skinner it looks to be a great working knife, but it has a better visual appeal.

Hey, I hear ya. I wasn't thinking eBay when I grabbed them up and I don't plan on ever grabbing so many again. Also, on the first round, I only did score 5 and the 1 SMOG PE. I wanted more, but felt lucky enough on my very first shot at buying from the store... it was later, when the carts got 'nuked, was I able to um... Go nutz. I just really couldn't believe my eyes, and figured that there were 100's + available i.e., huge order. My bad, but I really LOVE the skeleton GW. Just cool as heck, and I thought that it was a great price. Great hiking knife. Great ANYTHING knife. Perfect EDC.  Now that I see the OJ Warden, I'm thinking about orange & yellow cord for the Skelly's :)

Besides, everyone knows that I cruise the Exchange and buy from there too. :D I've gotten some sweet stuff from some very kind HOGS here. (Thx, Y'all!! )

Whetever 'Skunk decides, as far as policy when it comes to buying from the BCS, is cool by me. Seller makes the rules. I will happily abide by those policies and not complain, just adapt. Life goes on, INFI rocks, and so forth!!! :)
Jaxx:cool:

hey jaxx,
just my opinion, but i dont hold your large purchase against you, or any large purchase for that matter. if someone has the money and is fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time, do what you want.

on the exchange i have passed up knives because i feel they were priced a little high, even though i wanted it. but someone will always pay a premium, even if I think it is too high. who am i to say what is too much? other than for ME that is.

the fact that busses are always available on the exchange, even the rarer ones, should satisfy nearly everyone. just requires some patience to find the deal that fits some times.

dont like the set up? COLD STEEL has quite an inventory and availability is never an issue as far as i know. :)

  What???

I guess its a matter of how bad you want something. :D :D

So... why do some buy so many??? ummmmm... THATS WHAT HOGS DO! :D

I can't say it any better than was already said... ROCK ON JERRY, SKUNK, AMY-O, GARTH, AND EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!

Don't change a thing... It works... and it just plain FUN!!!

Cool! looks like you have a regular production set now.

But what is the very dark one next to the tan? Blk with some oil?

And why three Satin SMOGs did you get a fat one (.17) too?

The black one next to the tan is my DC/Blk user... use does the micarta good. :D
Edited to add: why 3 satin smogs??? Well, 2 sets and one extra satin pe for a second user.

The bottom left is a custom shop DC blk G10 w/ black giraffe bone from the Lili-ganza. The slab on the side of this one has some nice white color markings in the giraffe bone. Here another pic of the Custom Shop GWs

I personally have one and it's the only one that I'll ever buy even though I requested this exact style of knife about 6 months ago in a thread I still think you only need one of each configuration. On the other hand I feel sorry for the guy who may be new to Busse knives and who could only afford like $200.00 for a knife but can't get one because some people choose to purchase more than like one or two of each configuration at a time!

Sorry I was going to say something that has been said already. Here and in different threads many many times over.

And I always remember what a very smart District Court Judge said to me once over lunch.

"Tony, saying the same thing 20 times in 20 different places adds nothing to your arguments and makes it look like you forgot you had already said it."

In other words it makes me look dumb and I look dumb often enough.

What??? two sets of smoggers too many??? They are my favorite... I originally got the 2nd set as a gift to someone... they didn't react to my set as I thought they would... so I figured I would keep them for one day down the road, long after GWs are no longer available, and see what they may bring in trade.

Or sell the for one million dollars! :D :D :D
