Why Spyderco is unhealthy

Let's see Flonase and Zyrtec fight over the rights to treating Spyderco-related allergies! Maybe a panel of former surgeon generals could alert the world to a Spyderco epidemic. Symptoms include joyful cutting, knife obsessions, and missing patches of arm hair. There's no known cure. Not even benevolent trolling from grammar-challenged altruists can stop it.

There are a number of valid points mixed in with the nonsense and outright lies. For example I would assume that Spyderco does want to expand their market, it is a capitalist system after all. That is kind of a silly critism of course.

There are also extreme Spyderco fans which do act in similar manner as described, there are also others who appreciate Spyderco but are not so rabid of course so the generalization is false, and Spyderco itself doesn't act as noted.

Not really a decent troll, someone needs to spend more time on alt.flame.

This guy is just a dumbass and this post proves it..If anyone has spent time at a blade show or spoke with either CRK or Spyderco you would understand that both of these families are true world class people who develop products with thier CUSTOMERS in mind.

Yeah I gave out my first red also (under the new system), other than him I've given red to V77, and a couple other trolls. I think they try to get me back but they end up grey :D

Not sure how you came to those conclusions?

We do make a few "Chris Reeve style integral lock" models, and we Give Chris & Ann credit for the lock in our catalog and comments. Chris & Ann gave us permission to do so.

Our market was one hand openers with clips and serrations, which began in the early '80's. We pretty much avoided everyone elses market until 2003. Then we realized that every knife company in the world was using some of our features and so now, it is true that we will go into other markets; balisongs, low cost models (byrd), slip-joints (notch-joints), karambits, autos or any other market that we choose to play with.

Perhaps in the future we will have an opportunity to win you over?

is that I seem to catch their clips on seat belts and what-not more often than other brands. I guess I could fix that with a Dremel. Keep up the good work, Sal.
