Oh yeah, it’s a whole thing, with knives from several different manufacturers (though the only ones acceptable for this subforum are a couple Victorinox models). They all have covers that look like pink-iced donuts with rainbow sprinkles, so basically the polar opposite of the subject of this thread.

I think black handled knives have subdubed class.
They don't shout "LOOK AT ME!!!" like some other materials do, be they natural or synthetic materials.

They also don't show the dirt from use as much ....unlike a black car ... only car that shows dirt more than a black car is a white car.

Disagree on the cars. A white car will stay cleaner looking much longer than a black one. Black paint looks great when it’s clean but looks like crap dirty. White just looks a little dusty for a long time before it looks as bad.

My wife hasn’t washed her white car in I don’t know how long. I washed my black harley 3 weeks ago. Guess which one looks cleaner.

Being a fashion icon, it's very important to me to carry a knife that goes with my outfit of the day. Black goes with any of my ensembles.

Plus black cars show scratches really badly, even minor ones, nor does it flatter the shape of many cars, looks too rubbery

As for black knives, it suits many patterns and you don't always need bolsters to enhance it.
