Why you need a BLACK handled knife!

Reasons I need a BLACK knife:
Reason #1. The first knife I ever had is black, and permanently influenced me:


Reason #2. Black knives, especially with silver hardware, are dapper, distinguished, and dignified, qualities that I'll only possess via my knives:



Reason #3: If one doesn't have a black knife to post in the Black Friday thread, what's the point of existence?
Or more briefly: No black knife?? Get a life!

Here's a quartet of black knives that don't even get me through the Cs on my list alphabetized by maker. (The A. Wright ebony lambsfoot is filed under B for "British".)

Here's today's example: a new Rough Ryder Kamp King along with a vintage Imperial Kamp King (still in the original blister packaging!).

The modern versions are a real improvement (match pull grooves, nickel bolsters, thicker bail, etc), but the originals have huge sentimental value....
