Why...has this gone on for ten pages?

I keep clicking hoping that someone has said something profound, but its the same off topic arguments dragging on, and on, and on, and...

Sorry. Having too much fun trolling the good doctor.

:p

Few things here from my perspective.
1. Always be prepared.
2. There is a right tool for every job.
3. If there is a probability of loss, don't take your pride/joy.
4. Tools can be art and it's fine to have them just to appreciate.

That sums up pretty much everything I respond with if someone asks me why..

Honestly, all the long winded explanations, my own included, the best answer here I think is the same answer my 3 yr old gives me constantly:

"Why did you smash that Hershey kiss info the carpet?"
"Why are you playing in the dog's water dish?"
"Why are shoving all those cheese-itz in your mouth?"
"Why did you poop in your pants?"

And every single time..... "Becuz"

Actually, I think CM showed something profound by taking that Dremel to that watch.

General KNIFE discussion.......KNIFE. Get back on topic or the thread will be closed.

I can see your point, understandable :) Perhaps I care too much what other people think....I like how people like you and Charlie don't care what other people think, awesome trait to have. Maybe it is because I live near city? Different mindset based on location perhaps?

Oh, and for future fererence, you can hit the "reply with quote" button under posts to quote, and bold the sentences that you want emphasized

I live in the city. Worked hard for my car and only washed it once and that was to put stickers on it. I guess it's different mindset based on how you were raised.

Oh, thank you so much for the "reply with quote" suggestion.
The truth is that I know how to use it.
I just didn't want anyone looking in to have to trudge through your prissy, boy golden spoon, entitled, grandiose post of yours.
While at the same time helping you avoid embarrassment by preventing others from seeing how vain and insecure you are.
I know that was a bit rude, but I felt kinda like yu wuz laffin at me cuz i am po white trash...

I can only fondle a knife for so long before I get bored with it and move on. The ones I like to use are the ones that stick around. What I really don't get though is why arguments like this exist? "Because I like it." Is a completely justified reason for doing ANYTHING that doesn't harm anyone else. Collecting, but not using knives falls into that category.

I never get embarassed by what I post, and if it offends people, that's not my problem. That's the mindset you need on the internet. Also, I was not laughing at you, apologies if my post was a bit too hard to understand. Based on your retort, my post hurt your fragile ego. You need some thicker skin than that.

No reason to call yourself names either man, I didn't think anything negatively of you.

I hope I come off as pretentious, maybe it'll teach you to deal with people like me in the future.

Welp, I don't even have a car, too busy accruing debt. I was thinking, maybe people keep expensive knives pristine so they last longer? Idk, that's what most people I know do with expensive things that aren't easily replaceable.

Yeah, great, now I feel bad...
Probably more like I spend too much time on the ol www, when I can get the rabbit ears set right lol!
I've got thick skin...and I will say sorry, and that's not just because I'm Canadian.
Vain / insecure = bi-polar?
I hardly think there isn't anything you can't do right.
And there is something to be said for nice items in new shape.
But that's not what defines you. What defines you is you not coming unglued at me, and that shows me patience, and friendliness. Which are fant antic qualities!
Thanks, but around here I am the White trash Biker on the hill, until something wild needs to be killed, or they hear something scary, or a deer gets hit on the highway...then I'm the great white hero!
I'm used to it, been called much worse...
Anyway, sorry CL.
What is your trophy knife? Or What will it be?
Good evening...:foot:
