The WTF and the HUCK Fin both had an element of ridiculousness for me. The HUCK, on the other hand, did not, and I ordered one of those on the first day. But there's something glorious about the ridiculousness of the HUCK Fin, and I just had to add one to my order before they go away. I think it's destined to be either one of the most laughed about or sought after Busses ever. I still don't know which, but I'm in for one. Can't say the same about the WTF.
My opinion is quite the opposite.. there are lots of Kukari
Blades that are the same size an much bigger. The WTF is everything that is Busse.. Classic American Bowie style but, Big, Thick, an with that Busse fusion handle... I think this goes down as one of the most remembered and desired Busse blades ever..Much like the MOAB... in my opinion that is..
You are probably right-Crocodile Dundee was a little guy-Little guys tend to find big masculine knives hard to swing!! By the way I think the ugly satin WTF was probably already sold out by now-Cheers!!Even Crocodile Dundee will think the WTF is impractical and ridiculous.

I find it pretty amusing that this thread is already 6 pages long, and it will probably be 6 months until any direct in-hand performance comparisons can be made between the two. People seem pretty strongly on one side or the other, even though nobody has actually paid for either yet. They are both impressive blades. They will likely both perform very well out of the box, and I'm sure that with some edge modifications they could be made to perform fantastically for a specific task. I like both a lot, and I'll own both, but to me the it is the uniqueness of the WTF that makes it a true standout in a sea of excellent blades.
And this worst part is that the 2 knives which will out cut both of them are not even mentioned-the Moabolo and Moab
With a little use, that coating disappears on the important parts.
When it hits home the WTF and Moabolo chop off video is already being planned.
The precious HUCK will still be months out, coated and those coated cbt will be teaming with friction, while the more expense SATIN WTF slides right in with less effort and more weight, if that's not a better chopping formula, then my science minor was wasted.
Agreed, what you have left is a knife that is two colors
Then you spend all of an hour stripping the rest of it off. Look, I get it from a collector's point of view. The WTF is one helluva impressive hunk of metal. I think that's what is going to hold it back as a user though. Again, all conjecture until people get one in hand.
