will HUCK dethrone WTF as king of Op 2 weeks??

I'm just here thinking "boy I'm glad they offered the WTF in battle grade, sure wish they did the same for the HUCK."

Sure makes it much more accessible at an only slightly lowered performance.

im so bummed I didn't spring for the BG as well :( that thing is gonna be one hell of a chopper and be less taxing on the arm muscles than its big brother. its gonna rock.. as are all the blades in this thread!
Ive seen people use a survival knife to dig fire pits an such..a 3" wide blade would be awesome for that as well!

Boss man is definitely doing something right to have everyone so passionate and already claiming superiority pre-production.

They're both Busses. How sweet is that? Many companies are lucky to have one blade that gets this kind of reaction and Busse has several. A few released within months of each other. And more to come *cough* B13 *cough*

I know you are hot and heavy on the B13 idea, just don't think it is fundamentally that removed from the 1311. I could be wrong of course, and actually, I hope that I am. The B13 would be more than a swell knife to kick around.

In such case, I will certainly be ordering a B13 as I have always liked that blade length in the role of a short machete.

^ He most certainly is! Now we need him to 13ring it! :D

Lol...you comedian!! If the infi WTF is kept as safe queen.. its due to its price...everything about that blade lends itself to being an amazing chopper. Comparable to the moab at least... :) it's will have very similar blade weight to moab.

Yep, price affects use for most folks definitely the collector types too. I went with the BG WTF so I could justify using it as I have a very hard time with the whole buy it just to look at it concept... I'll save that for my tombstone. I try to collect and not use, but it usually winds up that the queens get sold off to fund more users, life is too short to not enjoy living & using things while we still can, but money for necessities like food still outweighs toys/luxuries or life might be even shorter. While I would have much preferred a CG option on the WTF, thankfully the HUCK for a few bucks more gave me that INFI CG fix. It's getting to the point where CBT's on INFI is exciting mostly because it means it will be a CG infi treat that is more affordable and easier to use. There is nothing wrong with satin and I think the ones who scored it will love it too so I am in no way knocking the folks who sprung for it.

I do believe from a physics standpoint the longer length of a moab that weighs similar to a shorter WTF will have the performance advantage, part of why we don't use a hatchet to down a tree when a full length axe is an option. I look forward to comparing the BG WTF to the CG HUCK. I skipped the fin as the front part of the fin can be added to the front ~2" of the HUCK when compared in an overlay and that is about all I would want in a working blade that gets whacked with a baton. This is how I based my choice for yea/nay on the fin but I did not say anything while it was offered as my opinion should have no effect on your choices or Jerry's sales. :)

Agreed. I would've liked to check it out with the Hog Nosed.

Yes!

No way I would have ordered the WTF in the satin Infi. I just don't have the funds right now. If the Huck Finn were offered in SR101, I would have been more inclined to nab one. But since I have a KZII, and did not feel like scrambling to sell it to get a huck finn, I had to sit out.

That Hog Nose will like haunt me, along with that dguard! And bg ak!

lets face it.. WTF remains king.. but Huck still sits humbly at his side...as...queen I guess...???:D

So glad I got a WTF BG!

No cash to swing the INFI.

With the HUCK, and HUCK FIN, I wanted a FIN so bad, but I already have a KZII, and did not want to have to scramble to sell it just to order a FIN.

I'll regret that later. As well as passing on the Hog Nose, and the Dmistress.

Unfortunately, for those on limited budgets, life is full of regrets!!

I would bet VERY FEW of us are on unlimited budgets... especially dealing with blades of this cost.. I feel ya

Hog Nose Sword for the win --- it's physics

As for the WTF ---- I went with the battle grade because it's thickness came in at a perfect .28 --- which I think for my needs is ideal. The Satin INFI version could certainly be a true monster --- y'all better lift some weights to get ready for it!!

I went with the INFI Huck Fin instead of the Huck --- reason being that the additional blade height/weight will render it a better chopper. As long as you keep the false edge dull --- you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a few batons that will last long enough.

Either way --- we have some exciting chop offs coming our way!!

When you have fishing, hunting and busse as hobbys, you eat a lot of oatmeal:D

That's the great thing about Australia's strict gun laws. Instead of splitting my funds 50/50 for guns/knives, i can spend it ALL on knives :D

I still gotta pay for my camping and fishing toys though
