Black Canvas is available and the benefit of only being used on a very few knives to keep it unique.
From the choices presented it has to be Natural Canvas for me. Don't care for linen too much.

I'm in for natural canvas. I don't want a red or od green TC Barlow.

Natural/white/bone linen like was on the 77s and the recent 13s (muslin) would be even classier, I think.

Charlie, thank you again for taking this on. I think it's really swell that we not only get to vote on something, but that we'll have 5 options to vote for.

Do you think we should vote just once, with the most popular choice of the 5 winning, or vote a second time for the top 2 micartas?

I have a preference or two of course among the choices, but I'm keeping them to myself until we vote.

I stated it earlier in the thread. I am in for natural canvas micarta similar to the recent 71. I am not so interested in other colors.

I dont plan on going to war any time ....ever ,so the OD doesnt grab me for a wholesome pocketable grampsy looking barlow.That plus I already have a bunch of bushwalkng camo gear.
Natural canvas has a classy old fashioned look about it ...more suited to jaywalking.

I can't stand the looks of the canvas Micarta. Red or black linen would be OK. I'd like see a poll with all 5 options listed, with the ability to change one's vote prior to the final tally (in case your favorite was clearly losing, in which case you could throw your vote to a second favorite). Sort of like having a run-off election built into the first poll.

I think that red linen micarta would look really sharp paired with the long barlow bolster, but I'm in regardless.

I know I am probably in the minority here, but I am rather fond of OD, and not just OD micarta.

That being said though, I will concede that OD is probably not the most ideal color for a Barlow style knife. I'd still buy one though... Heck, I will buy one regardless of the color!

Thanks for chatting to Bill for us Charlie. I still like the idea of a wool micarta, but this particular project may not be the best one to try out new things - a consensus doesn't seem easily acheived on even the most simple choice. That's just a reality of the process.

This means I am less interested in the remaining choices, but my vote would be against an option that required a satin finish on the bolster. Polished black has a lot going for it.

I personally would like to see a mock-up of the TCs in each color of available micarta. I've seen some good Photoshop skills on here when it comes to knives that don't yet exist. I know this is probably time consuming though, so I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to do it.

To me, some colors/materials look better on some knives moreso than others.
