Gorgon.....mythical beast of Greek mythology. Medusa was a gorgon.

How about the "MALVADO", which translates to the "bad guy" or the "dangerous one" in Spanish. Also, "COUP DE GRACE", for that final touch.

If you are going to build a great knife, one that you really
feel will be worthy of a great name, how about: San Greal
It is the original french version of "Holy Grail" from the
grail romance stories.

Some have even translated it as Sang Real which would be
"Royal Blood", thus the theories proposed by Baigent, Liegh,
et al about the blood line of Christ surviving in the royal
families of Europe.

My german sheperd is named Sangraal (san-gray-al), which is
the original French word used in the stories.

How 'bout 'Peregrine': AKA Duck Hawk. It's a Falcon, the fastest animal alive (180 MPH). It's beautiful, deadly, and rare.

How about the Taipan.
Here in Australia the most feared snake is the Taipan, being capable of great striking distance inflicting numerous bites, it is also one of the most venemous snakes in the world. Truly something to stay well clear of.
 
Here's a good Tolkien name: BALROG! It was an awesome beast, sort of human + lion + dragon, etc.; a big, strong, mean butt-kicker that whomped on all comers & had everyone's respect.

Someone said "Habu," that's a cool one.

How about "Compadre"? Companion?

Or, since this is an all-purpose knife, one's right-hand man so to speak, how about "the Regent."

Lieutenant? the bad lieutenant? ok, no . . .

Mustang? bison? workhorse? mule? boa?
