WIN A FREE FOLDING KNIFE

How about:
Flatline or Flatliner

Or how about going with names from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings - they had some cool names for swords and things...
Bilbo Baggins's dagger was named "STING"
Gandalf's sword was "Orchrist" the goblin cleaver.
Thorin's sword was "Glamdring" the foe hammer.
This may be a cool place to start a search for names for a new blade series "hobbit" is of course taken already by Round Eye knives - but they get 50 cool points for originality.

You could go with names of special ops units - the "GSG9" sounds good.

Tiger Raptor Talon knife names have been done to death. You have an original blade it needs an original name.
I kinda liked the suggestion of fighter aircraft names like the Grippen, Swedens kick @ss fighter... then there was the Fulcrum AKA Mig29... The Rafale is the hottest jet in the ski right now... You could compair your knives to US jets and and give simmilar mission profile names... Like for a small agile knife designed to do many tasks - F-18, or a big fighting knife F-22... A huge field/combat knife F-14... that is another place to start a whole series of blades - and invoke some nostalgia for aviation... like with a classic edge profile the name F-4...

Just some thoughts.

Hi! I have been a "lurker" on this forum for a while now and finally decided to register and join in the fun of throwing out a few suggestions. Here goes:

NATTER: This is German for Adder. Adder has already been suggested referencing the pit viper, however the German name would be an interesting choice because it not only keeps with the snake reference, but on a historical note also refers to a formally "hi tech" piece of military equipment. The BA-349 "Natter" was a World War II-era German rocket propelled interceptor. It carried 55MM rockets in the nose and was designed to attack Allied bombers. Very few examples were built before the war ended and it was never operationally used.

COPPERHEAD: Not sure if this name has been used before, however if not, it keeps with the snake idea, as well as also referring to another "hi-tech" piece of military equipment. The Copperhead is the U.S. Army Artillery equivalent of a laser-guided bomb. It has a laser seeker in the nose which searches for and homes in on a spot of laser light which has been marked/" painted" on the desired target. This weapon is consedered to be the most accurate and deadly point-target artillery weapon in the world today. The snake itself is also pretty dangerous as it is one of the many poisonous snakes in the state of Virginia (where I'm from).

The A.S.A.P. (pronounced A-SAP): Not sure if this acronym has been used for a knife name before, however the name "As Soon As Possible" would be a clever way to indicate and advertise on how quickly the knife could be opened and used.

Thanks for considering the above names. I look forward to continuing to post on this forum.

If you're looking for the "general purpose knife" -image, then you could call it GP or Jeep

Or even "General Purpose".

3 thoughts for now : The Option, The DDR Option, First Option.

Okay, how about:

Gleet (To ooze. Yeah, I know, but it really sounds neat!

)

Troglodyte (A mythological creature, sort of like a Doppelganger, which in itself is a pretty good name too.)

I'll try back later.

Darrel, how are you ever going to decide?
This really does appear to be out of hand.
