No doctors!!!arnoldglee said:Hi Jerry,
I'm a Pilates instructor, personal trainer and am working on my PT and deal with this sort of thing all the time. I MIGHT be able to help.
First, look down at your feet. Do they evert? IE turn out? And if you look in a mirror is one of your shoulders slightly lower than the other and rolled forward?
If so try this, turn your feet in until you are in a knock kneed stance, like you are pigeon-toed. Heels forced outward. Now pull your shoulders back and down as if I shoved an orange in between your shoulder blades and you are trying to squeeze it. Now slowly shake your arms out and raise them above your head. You may find that raising your hands in front of you like you are reading a book will cause less pain than out to the side. Then let your arms drop.
At this point you may find some relief from the pain and some pressure taken off the nerve. If this is the case all I have done is momentarily placed your hips properly under your spine and repositioned your scapulae. If one of your feet turns out more than the other that hip can be the culprit.
Additionally exactly what portion of your left arm is numb?
If it is your left shoulder it is either your 3rd or 4th cervical vertebrae. If it runs along your bicep it is the 5th, your thumb it is the 6th, your middle finger the 7th, your ring and pinky C8, bottom of the forearm the 1st thoracic and tricep your 2nd thoracic. You can pinpoint pretty precisely which nerve is being impinged.
Please let me know if any of my suggestions worked and if they did, I can suggest some physical therapy exercises (cleared with your doctor of course) you might want to try to realign your hip/shoulder alignment.

I've tried drinking a boat load of scotch but that hasn't done much except to apparently worsen the pain by causing me to fall down the steps from the upstairs office!!!!!Bad deal!!!
If anyone here can tell me how to fix it myself. . . (not "go to a doctor or chiropractor") I will award them their choice of a Skeleton Key with any finish that we have available.....
Bring your whacky suggestions. . . I'll try them all!!!!
Might be a good chance for you to mess me up even more!!!![]()
That sounds fun!!!
. . . errrrrr. . .well, maybe not so fun since we're doing it to me!!!!
Bring it on HOGs. . . .
Give me detailed instructions on how to make this go away and you will be awarded in INFI. . . .. . . .
