Hmmm. You may be in tricky waters here, Woodgood already guessed Cervidae Spp. So you may have broken rule #3--I'll leave it to a jury of your peers. Remember, the guess must be specific, e.g. Mule Deer. It was not a mule deer. And wasn't a white tail either.

Thanks for the Latin, but No. I haven't actually seen a snowshoe. We have Sylvilagus and Jackrabbits. I hear jackrabbits are not good eating, never tried one.
