Thanks for the contest!

I've been on these forums since the beginning and I've never been to a knife show. Too poor :( After about a year and a half of saving every dime i could (literally) I'm going to the Las Vegas Classic Knifeshow. The first person I hope to see is Rob.

Why?! I was the first to recognize that Rob and Dwight Yoakam are one and the same person, as indicated in THIS THREAD. And remember, too, that it was Dwight/Rob who played the abusive husband in Sling Blade, whose namesake tool was -- you guessed it -- made of Talonite! :p

Seems a friend of Rob's could not figure out how to register here so he sent me the following email to post for him.

"I don't need no more of Rob's knives. Seems each time I get one I end up on his web site. See just the other day I had a new knife of Rob's. It was a Kerambit and as usual I was using his knife to cut rope while I tied down the load of taters on my truck. Well wouldn't ya know it, I get about 6 miles from Three Forks heading back to Betty's down that bumpy road and I notice my load is getting smaller and smaller in the rear view. So I stop and takes a looksee. Well I lost no taters but that darn Kerambit was doing a job on my load. As usual I forgot the knife and left it on the top sack and it worked it's way through the taters. What a mess. Seems the blade was cuttin through them taters like they were butter! Appearantly some of the cut taters would squeeze through the hole in the handle of the Kerambit and make nice little round thingymabobs. This time instead of french fries and jojos I ended up with hash browns and tater tots!

Great contest... put me on the I-wanna-win-too list :D

My buddy David won a talonite Talon a couple years ago, and he's still in love with it.

I finally got my try at the stuff and It's pretty amazing on meat and stuff. Chuck was very helpfull in getting me the talonite.
But.. I've never even been close to a sensational design like Rob's talon.

And.. did a guy from Belgium EVER won ANY contest here???

Rob, Sorry to say so, but yep, you are downright famous here in Europe with the knife crowd. I think your face is just as famous as the face of Sly Stallone or Bruce Willis.
