Holy Cow! THANK YOU!!!!!! This is so, very cool! I immediately called Rick Lowe and his is making pants for the Arete!!!! And, he refused payment! He said it was his honor to bend some leather for this knife! WOW!!!!!!! So, how do I present this? Burr has NO idea! Ideas? Thoughts?
 
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for the awesome giveaway!!!!! Burr's Scout Troop had a backpacking trip this past weekend, so it will be 3 weeks or so for the next trip. I will keep you up to date. I plan to make the presentation on a the next camping trip in front of the Scouts who look up to Burr so! I promise to take pics!

Well...

The Arete for Burr arrived today!!! It's a very nice knife!!!!! THANK YOU Dcaggie06!!!! Rick's sheath also arrived! He made a really classy, medium dark brown one that is nice and snug... super nice as well! This is a a WONDERFUL combo! I mean WONDERFUL!!! The Scout Troop is camping on the river in a few weeks, a 2 night canoe trip. I think this will be a great place to present it to him! Maybe around the camp fire that night with all the Scouts present! Maybe I could make a big dessert for all and have a little celebration! Maybe a blueberry and cherry cobbler would be nice, since we can't have a nice old bourbon; the only drawback from Scouting functions.

Arete Update... Burr's Scout Troop had an outing this past weekend, a 2 day canoe trip, but we had some family illness and couldn't make it. :( So, the next trip is in a couple of weeks, so I'll plan the presentation then! I'm excited! Thanks again, Dcaggie06 and Rick Lowe!!!
 
Alright guys... This weekend is out local Boy Scout Spring Camporee. I'm going to present the Fiddleback to Burr Fox one knight around the camp fire with all the Scouts around. It will be great. I'm going to do a little write up on what the knife is, about the giveaway and about the Rick Lowe sheath. This is going to be FANTASTIC! I'll post pics next week!!!
