Well, This past weekend was the local Boy Scout Spring Camporee. It was a Klondike Derby, where each patrol built a sled ahead of time and they pulled it between stations where they tested their Scout skills. I told the Scouts about this wonderful knife give-a-way Friday night and gave them the Arête to present to Burr. I figured it would be most appropriate for the Scouts to present it. So..... later that night, all the Scouts came to the leader campsite and formed a circle. I told everyone about this fantastic opportunity and about the give-a-way. I told about my friends and family on blade forums. I told about Fiddleback Forge. I told them about RLO leather. I also explained why everyone should be so grateful they have Mr. Fox as a Scoutmaster. Then the boys presented the Arête and Rick Lowe sheath. It was amazing. He was blown away. He carried the knife on his belt ALL weekend. I saw several people ask him about it and he proudly pulled it out to show. FANTASTIC! I can not thank you enough for this amazing and wonderful opportunity!
