Things on the two islands move a mite slower than the rest of the world eh? I like a slower pace myself.

I've been on the fence about it all day... I feel there are many others much more deserving. But I also imagine those members likely already have knives from Roland and thus are not participating. So, with quite a bit of hesitancy, I'm in. This thread needs a bump and more contestants anyway. I truly want and hope many others members join in!

I did not know Roland and am relatively new here. But he seemed to have great taste in knives. When my grandfather passed, I got his Schrade's and I started researching and collecting more of them, which led me to this community and its immeasurable amount of information. I'm sure I would've gotten along with Roland well.

I do not own a large collection of knives. And so, every one has special meaning to me one way or another. Being able to carry one of Roland's knives would not only remind me of him, but his level of appreciation for this community which I can only ever hope to achieve. Like all of the knives in my small collection, I intend not only to use them but look after them for the rest of my time on this earth. That being said, when I'm too old to use or care for them, I would make certain the knives found there way back here onto the forums to continue Roland's legacy. I wish I had joined earlier and gotten to know him. But, he will not be forgotten by this community. Thank you for such a generous giveaway. I'm certain Roland is thanking you for spreading the love.

Cheers Lithicus, you are indeed In!
Sue is on her way home- she has a 5 hour drive ahead of her, so I wont bug her this weekend with the draw, I have always done my draws the old fashioned way- pieces of paper in a bowl that I hold up- and Sue pick the winners.
So the winners will be picked, then another draw as to see who gets what Knife.

Have a awesome weekend everyone, the way things are going I may include another knife - lets see :)

Numbers were placed into a Bowl and a second bowl with the Knife numbers.

I searched around and found another 4 bladed Senator so that became part of the draw!

Put an edge on these Knives - you will be then a part of your new Knife's History, sit back and appreciate the build of these amazingly built Knives.

Judge Sue chose one number by reaching up and picking out a number from bowl #1- then the same for the Knife Number in bowl #2

Winners are:

Winners, Please pm me with your full name and address, Post code, State and Country - everything I need to ensure safer delivery to you. Now please understand I am not going anywhere near a Post Office for over a Month so things can settle down World-wide with overloading from the silly season.

I will package and have the Knives boxed and ready to go- and I will of course message you with the details once sent, in all I think it would be a good idea to send me your information- then try to forget about it and one day a knife ( if all goes well during the journey ) will arrive to you 🙃

I hope this sounds ok?

Have an amazing time with your friends and family folks - Thanks to all who participated, Thank you to our mods and Bladeforums and every body

To the Instigator and to the happy Winners!
Depending you're pessimistic or optimistic you can say the year ends the better way or the coming year starts well!

Wow! Thanks so much Duncan! I will really enjoy this knife - so much more knowing its story and how it made it to me. Thanks for your generosity!!! It will be fun to be surprised later in the year with a package from waaaaay across the pond.

I love that this was in honor of Roland and celebrated his love of Craftsman knives. I love knives from Sears as well and will love adding to my collection.

I've been slowly getting back after Christmas break, and just thought to check this thread. What a wonderful surprise!!! Thanks so much!
