There's been a number of food prep pics in this thread which is understandable since that's one thing at which pocket knives excel. This post deals with a food related activity as well. One that is occasionally necessary after the food preparation and consumption. I'll spare you the details and simply show one of Blu Exec's indispensable tools and say it was put to good use again today. :)

I suppose it would be possible to do with a trapper, sowbelly, stockman etc. but not recommended. ;)

Oh, the horror! Chili is made with BEEF, Gary!
Vince, I appreciate your "Texas Standards" for chili, but I can't help but feel sorry for all y'all for your narrow provincial viewpoint! :(
There are so many marvelous chili variations in the universe, and you Republic of Texas residents just don't realize what you're missing! I don't think I've ever met a bowl of chili I didn't like! (My wife added frozen corn and fresh carrots to her recipe yesterday, which was new to me in a "red" chili - I've had corn in white chicken chili, of course.)

Here's the book I'm currently reading, and have been working on (along with several others) for almost 2 months. It's due Saturday, with no renewals available, and I still have almost 200 of 800 pages to go. Hoping the trapper can help me cut down the time I need to finish it! (This photo was originally taken for the Blades and Books thread.)

Here are a couple of beverages my daughter's fiancé and I had yesterday. He brought me a peanut butter porter from Dangerous Man Brewery in Minnesota, and my wife bought some hazy IPA types of beer for him and my daughter. My wife added the Christmas carnation to the can to make a more festive photo:

Chris, I don't need no stinkin' trophy! 😁
Last spring, I finally won the Science Division NCAA Modeling Contest for the Men's Division 1 Basketball Tournament. I'd been participating since the contest started in 1995, and this was my first win, so I currently possess the Mike Stob Trophy, a traveling trophy passed on the the winner each year.

A SCIENCE TROPHY?? 🤓 My goodness, GT... You're a certified genius! If my calculations are correct, I wouldn't stand a chance (unless they consider licking walls and eating play-doh "science").

Congrats!! 👏🏻

An NCAA Science Trophy no less!
Science? Modeling? Basketball? I am confused. But Congratulations!
Thanks for the congrats, but just to clarify, the trophy was for our weird version of a March Madness Contest open to faculty and staff in the Science Division at my university (at other colleges and universities, it might be called School of Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) School).
