Got so busy helping out I forgot to take some action picks of cutting moving tape! Here's a candid shot anyway lol

While I was there my dad had just finished replacing the flooring from a water leak. I helped my old man get the washer & dryer moved back in & set up in the laundry room. View attachment 2422703 Removing old hose screen...View attachment 2422705

It's not my fault I was born into an age of convenience!!!

You want legitimate knife use?? Fine!

Here's The Rider cutting off a length of toilet paper - just the same way our ancestors had to before the invention of perforations!

My great-great-great grandpa was so poor he couldn't even afford a toilet paper knife - he had to use his teeth - which was difficult, because it was made out of leather back then - toilet leather!!!

We have it too easy nowadays...

It's hump day!!!

I ran like a maniac all day. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the adventures with the lambsfoot! It did made a PB&J, opened boxes, cut my apple, sharpened the pencil, cut nylon strapping for a project and finally now that I'm home, it's cutting up some pork that has been cooking in home made sauce all day..... Ooooo yeah that's some good swine. Delicious sauce and gnocchi. I put too much shaky cheese on it but it's so good.

That's why I don't own any white shirts! Dude.... I can eat gnocchi anytime. 👍👍

Hope everyone had a good day and I'll be sure to document the lambs adventures a bit better tomorrow.

Joseph was swift with his reply. “It’s the E8a Diesel, Southern 6901, Dad.”

Of course, I had to fact check…

Southern Railway No. 6901, an E8a diesel passenger locomotive, routinely powered Crescent passenger train between Atlanta and Washington, D.C. It pulled the last Southern-operated Crescent train before Amtrak assumed operations of the route.

I love this engine design.

Thank you, I appreciate the pictures! I wondered what Southern engine it was. I took a photo of the same engine at the Ivey City Yard in Washington DC on Christmas Day 1975. One of my wife's relatives worked there for Southern and got me in that day to wander around (I was carrying a Buck 301, my only nice pocketknife in those days). Unfortunately the cheap film and cheap processing I used back then has given me deteriorating slides now. OH
