WINNERS CHOSEN! 5 DAY GIVEAWAY!!! User Challenge!

72⁰F and pouring rain today, but I'm still cooking - this time for the pups! I've got two hungry customers that aren't feeling the dry stuff today - but they're always in the mood for turkey!

The Rider volunteered to help open the package:

and cut the turkey into smaller pieces:

In the pot and ready to boil - I guess I should quit watching it now!

In other news, I wasted time this morning in a fruitless effort to purchase a GEC #21 Bull Buster in Red Linen Micarta. In retrospect, the time would have been much better spent simply petting the pups and admiring The Rider! I still hope I can pick up one of those 21s though - maybe next time. 😭

How did you cut rope? I've been informed by "experts" that plain edges aren't good at cutting rope. I mean, I do it all the time with plain, highly polished edges, but from what I hear, it's impossible!
Hahaha. I am ashamed to admit that even though I sharpened this knife last weekend, it did take 3 passes to cut through this rope. I would like to blame the thickness of the rope, but really it is likely my edge. It did fine peeling the pear though!

I'm not the most adept photographer in the world, nor do I have the latest equipment. So it often takes me a couple of days (or even weeks) to get a photo I take with my ancient point-n-shoot Canon downloaded from the camera to my MacBook, processed with a simple image-processing app (cropping, resizing, adjusting various characteristics such as brightness, shadows, colors, etc. which I mostly do with a 1-click "auto-adjust" button), filed in appropriate folder, and finally posted into a relevant BF thread. So trying to get new photos posted of my trapper in action on 5 consecutive days for this GAW is really putting the pressure on me! o_O:eek:🤓

Here are a couple of photos I took yesterday but didn't have ready to post until now. One shows a couple of onions after I chopped them up for the chili my wife made yesterday (which I ate for supper last night and lunch today and hope to eat at least once a day until Christmas 🤓).

The next pic shows the results of my attempt to use the trapper to cut a couple of rectangular cross-sections of a cheese "brick" to put in my lunch yesterday. It's not a pretty sight! o_O I slice cheese much better with a serrated Victorinox paring knife I have.

This third photo was actually taken this very morning when I had to cut open the netting on a new bag of oranges so I could put half an orange, peeled and diced, onto my cereal for breakfast this morning. The trapper (and I) had no trouble carrying out that task with aplomb!

Stopped by my parents after work to help them out moving in a new piece of furniture. My mom found this at an antique store for less than some of the knives in this thread! 🤣View attachment 2422691View attachment 2422696
Got so busy helping out I forgot to take some action picks of cutting moving tape! Here's a candid shot anyway lol

While I was there my dad had just finished replacing the flooring from a water leak. I helped my old man get the washer & dryer moved back in & set up in the laundry room. View attachment 2422703 Removing old hose screen...View attachment 2422705
Hey, I'm starting to look like your avatar 321Bandaid 321Bandaid 😉

Day three finds me using the sheepfoot to unzip a box for the wife, and the clip cutting a slice of French Silk pie for breakfast!

Yum! That’s what a Craftsman has for breakfast!

Why is everyone on this thread eating oranges??? 😎😉

Hang in there GT! I see the finish line! The Aussies are almost there! You are aplombing this perigrinatory exercise with dominance 😎. Excuse my customization of the vocabularization of these words 😀.

Sticking with the theme of "Finding ways to use my knife", I opened a snack for lunch:

You animal!!!!

Sheep attacks and destroys Lamb. The razor sharp sheepsfoot blade had no trouble slicing through this slow cooked lamb. 😋 😋 😋.
