Nothing wrong with roasting some steak. And yours looks sensational.I’m not sure at what thickness a steak becomes a roast, but I know I was pushing it tonight.
Meat maketh the man.
Well what's the verdict??? Like your creative thinking replacing the bananas with apples. Improvisation is how the human race evolves.A couple of pictures from breakfast this morning (Thursday). I occasionally have a couple of pieces of toast with honey, peanut butter, and bananas on them as my "2nd course" of breakfast. But I haven't had any bananas in the house for a couple of weeks, so this morning, inspired by all the apples I've seen in this thread, to put apples on my toast instead of bananas. Of course, I used the trapper to slice the apples!
Here are the ingredients waiting patiently for the toast to come out of the toasting machine:

And here is the finished product. (Well, not "finished" in the sense that I've already eaten the toast, but the ingredients have been appropriately combined and the toast is now what I usually call "ready to eat".)

Thanks so much Leon! It’s been a fun week. Great to have you along!Where has the time gone, day 5 already, but has been an enjoyable challenge and a big shout out to mine hostJonMcD for putting the party on. Good luck to everyone who has participated and hope you all have a good weekend. Last photo, doing some maintenance, the best prevention for rust is Patina, and not much beats strawberries for Patina, especially when you have laser like bevels.

Great looking family Steve!4 down, 1 to go. Took a couple of hours off work to watch the granddaughters' Christmas program at preschool with the family. I showed some discretion and didn't hold my knife up for the photo.

What a beautiful sky. Great photo. I do enjoy your dogleg. The bone and the coloring with that EO just hits the mark for meQuiet day visiting dad, not much for knife action but snuck a quick pic before a ND sunset...

I'm in!
That's a fact, the coffee I make at home and particularly the tea, is better than anything I can find in a caféFriends, this is my Friday entry as the week is wrapping up for me. However, because I will not be home for another 6 days, this little classic will continue to be my companion.
This has been an exceptionally fun threadJonMcD ! Well done. A lot of fun participation.
The entertaining honesty was my favorite part. There was some legitimate knife usage for sure, but plenty of pictures of us just being knife nuts and making up a reason to use what we carry. That is the theme of my final entry. I haven’t needed my knife today but as always I am glad to have it with me.
Happy Friday everyone!!

Edit: I forgot to mention this is truly terrible coffee. There are many things I miss when I am away, my family most of all, but man I’d kill for a decent cup of coffee.
