WINNERS CHOSEN! 5 DAY GIVEAWAY!!! User Challenge!

A couple of pictures from breakfast this morning (Thursday). I occasionally have a couple of pieces of toast with honey, peanut butter, and bananas on them as my "2nd course" of breakfast. But I haven't had any bananas in the house for a couple of weeks, so this morning, inspired by all the apples I've seen in this thread, to put apples on my toast instead of bananas. Of course, I used the trapper to slice the apples!
Here are the ingredients waiting patiently for the toast to come out of the toasting machine:

And here is the finished product. (Well, not "finished" in the sense that I've already eaten the toast, but the ingredients have been appropriately combined and the toast is now what I usually call "ready to eat".)

Quiet day visiting dad, not much for knife action but snuck a quick pic before a ND sunset...

Well what's the verdict??? Like your creative thinking replacing the bananas with apples. Improvisation is how the human race evolves. :):):)

Looking at brass connectors, with the lamb’s brass bolsters in the foreground.

Brass. Turn the brass up to 11 for me brother. I love it all!
Where has the time gone, day 5 already, but has been an enjoyable challenge and a big shout out to mine host JonMcD JonMcD for putting the party on. Good luck to everyone who has participated and hope you all have a good weekend. Last photo, doing some maintenance, the best prevention for rust is Patina, and not much beats strawberries for Patina, especially when you have laser like bevels. 🤣🤣🤣🦌🦌🦌🎅🎅🎅🥰.

Thanks so much Leon! It’s been a fun week. Great to have you along!

4 down, 1 to go. Took a couple of hours off work to watch the granddaughters' Christmas program at preschool with the family. I showed some discretion and didn't hold my knife up for the photo.

What a beautiful sky. Great photo. I do enjoy your dogleg. The bone and the coloring with that EO just hits the mark for me 👌🏼.

Friends, this is my Friday entry as the week is wrapping up for me. However, because I will not be home for another 6 days, this little classic will continue to be my companion.

This has been an exceptionally fun thread JonMcD JonMcD ! Well done. A lot of fun participation.

The entertaining honesty was my favorite part. There was some legitimate knife usage for sure, but plenty of pictures of us just being knife nuts and making up a reason to use what we carry. That is the theme of my final entry. I haven’t needed my knife today but as always I am glad to have it with me.

Happy Friday everyone!!

Edit: I forgot to mention this is truly terrible coffee. There are many things I miss when I am away, my family most of all, but man I’d kill for a decent cup of coffee.

The other day I witnessed the 47 sitting calmly with his finely pressed purple pleated suit, enjoying a Labatt blue, when in came 15 accompanied by a little pip squeak. The 15 and the pip squeak took a table just opposite of 47.after a few minutes,47 remarked to the pair that he hadn't seen them around these parts before.15 replied he was in town on business and decided to bring the pip squeak along,he explained that pip squeak was actually called 14 and mostly spent his time in drawers and opened the odd letter.after a bit of time 47 offered to buy them each a beer with the warning of keeping alert to the surroundings. 15 admitted he was more accustomed to office lunch room's and such ,but before he could finish his thoughts a drunken rebel rouser in a tatterd micarta suit going by the name of 74 started throwing tables around and spoiling for a fight.15 then said to 47 that he was to much of a gentleman to get involved with this tattered drunk,47 said that didn't matter much to 74 and he sees you and pip squeak as easy pickings.47 then calmly walked over with a cool swayed glide over to the tattered 74 and politely told him to take his act elsewhere, 74 replied, listen slim if you don't much want to be leveled to kindly Frick off,74 then took a sucker punch that missed its mark, 47 countered with a left that left 74 wobbling, to this day they he say that 74 still wobbles. I'm not trying to pre judge the winner.but I think the 15's might be ad a disadvantage.

That's a fact, the coffee I make at home and particularly the tea, is better than anything I can find in a café  Of course it's good to sit in a pleasant place, chat or watch the world go by but very often you get dreadful coffee and when travelling it becomes oppressive. In summer months I take a little gas stove with me in the car to make a pot of tea on the road.

Had lost so much braid on this reel over the past five years it was down to 60 or so yards. Respooled yesterday and now back to 160 yards of fresh 15 lbs braid, but braid line needs a leader. Just now tied on a 15 lbs Fluorocarbon leader and trimmed the tags. Always trim my tags with a pocketknife because you don’t always have a braid trimmer in your pocket. OH
