WINNERS CHOSEN! 5 DAY GIVEAWAY!!! User Challenge!

I'd like to play too please, great idea Jon! I'll be carrying this wonderful Albers lamb in Ironwood. I haven't carried a lamb much so this should give me some good experience with one. I'm calling it a lamb because I'm afraid to call it by the wrong name (lambfoot or lambsfoot?). 🤣 Oh man I also don't know if lamb needs to be capitalized! For shame, this is embarrassing!

Anyways, I started the week out great cutting open a new knife package.

I found one of those suggested labels 321Bandaid 321Bandaid and ZHoovie ZHoovie mentioned. I sliced my sandwich with it afterwards, those funyun flavored chips are actually pretty good.

I left my water bottle in the freezer too long so I had to cut it open to fill my tumbler. There was simply no choice, crisis averted. And I shamelessly piggybacked onto birdsbeaks birdsbeaks awesome post for likes! 🤣🤣

I was hungry, and I thought to myself "this will be a great opportunity to show off how great The Rider is at food prep! Oh yeah!!"

I had these beautiful visions of uniformly diced vegetables, crisp-edged chunks of some kind of delicious meat, geometrically perfect bread slices and what not - but I've been on hold all day trying to get through to a state agency, to no avail, and I just didn't feel up to it.

So I ordered out.

Now, I'm thinking that they sealed the bag so that the delivery person couldn't help themselves to any of my cheese fries (kinda messed up that someone would do that, but it's also kinda messed up that all it takes is some adhesive to stop them. People get weirder and less capable every day it seems...) but for whatever reason, I just didn't have the wherewithal to rip the bag open with my bare hands.

Fortunately, I was able to gain access to the contents via an alternative method - facilitated by The Rider!

Mission accomplished!

Went to the local nursery/farm and picked out a tree. A little bit boring compared to what you all have been doing but did some thing bottom branch trims and cut the car roof ties and the plastic netting off the tree once I got it in the stand. Here it is resting after the light work.

Nonsense! We all appreciate some blade & tree action! 👍

Oh boy, it's Monday.

We started out today just installing a receptacle for a coffee pot. The lamb did a decent enough job of stripping the wire. I'd probably stick with my Klein strippers for everyday use.

I needed some shims and it became obvious pretty quickly that I wasn't going to be happy with the factory edge on this baby.

Out comes the trusty Arkansas stone.

On new knives like this... I like to work up a burr on each side at my preferred angle ... Then just work it off nice and easy. Then subsequent sharpening only takes a few swipes.

Nice edge now!

Not a very exciting day for it today. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some better adventures with it!

Same name as my daughters BF. Strange coincidence. 😁
I was told I had to name it after it bit me Saturday and that just seemed appropriate at the time. I guess it stuck.

P.S. Kudos if it's to his face and he knows that's his name.

When I was a kid, if one of my uncles ever said "Hey Peckerwood get over here" four or five of us would be on the way.
