Amazing!

Ken...nice work. You probably could have built 2 knives with the time you used taking pix and giving explanation....KUDOS!

Excellent work. Thanks for the time and effort of putting together a WIP thread. WIP threads are one of my favorite parts of the forum.

A remarkable knife on every level, Ken! Congrats, Charlie on this wonderful addition to your remarkable collection!:thumbup::cool::thumbup:

An absolute beauty!
Thanks so much for sharing the process and the results!

Dale

Wow! An incredible knife made even more incredible by seeing the process it went through. Ken, your willingness to let us peek into your shop says a lot about your skill and integrity. Thanks!

Here are the 5 major parts cut out and heat treated. Two 416 3/16 thick frames. One CPM154cm 1/8 oversize blade, one locking bar and one locking bar spring/frame filler. I have already cut the nail pull. When fly cutting pull's they need to be cut before the blade is hardened and tempered to 59-60RC

Are the spring and lockbar cut from the 154cm as well? If so do you just heat treat the whole lock to a spring temper?

I think I had forgot about this thread!
Yes, the lockbar and spring are also CPM154cm and drawn to spring temper. Please feel free to email me if you have any tech, building questions:)
