Well looky there, you made yourself a real knife. That turned out better that I ever expected. For someone without a lot of knives under his belt, and with just the basic tools, that turned out really nice, really quick. Good grind lines, good geometry. Nicely done.

Something I can't evaluate from the picts, that is of great importance is:

1 How well does it cut?

2 Balance

These things are important too, you will have to judge for yourself.

But from where I'm sitting, nicely done. :thumbup:

As far as cutting the thing is hair popping sharp. I havent done any heavy chopping or waterbottles, after all it's an EDC not a chopper. I can however do feather sticks no sweat.
The balance point is right in the center of the forefinger groove. w/ the lanyard on it sits directly under the first screw.
The grip is really positive too.
The grind lines are not really up to even my standards. hence the need for bead blasting. They were fine to start, but I tried to fix an asymmetrical spot and things went from bad to worse. Good news is it's pretty symmetrical, bad news is the lines are soft and not very hi-definition... This was a complex design for me.

I think it looks great! If you send it to me I'll bead blast it for you and do up a sheath. I really like it and I should have mentioned the whole PIA G-10 cutting thing

If it makes you feel better, it's a deal.:thumbup: I'll be on the left coast next week, return the day before Easter. But if you send it, my wife will be home to pick it up. I'll get it back out to you by the Wednesday after Easter probably. Email or PM me the specifics for the sheath..I'm assuming you want Kydex. Leather might take a couple of more days but it's your preference. Glad to help out.
