Wish List: What Would You Want?

I would love a PM2 XL. Like a PM2 with a 4" (or even 4.5") blade that was a little wider. Basically a Manix 2 XL but with compression lock and tip down carry positions. And also in 4V and/or Magnacut.
They are coming out with a comp-lock Military 2 at some point, which will be really cool, similar to this. A lot of people have expressed their feeling that such a knife would in fact be more of a "PM2 XL" in spirit than a Military 2.

But yeah, large bladed comp locks are great. Yojumbo being my prime example.

Most will probably think this is silly, but I want more translucent Manix LW's...I don't think I could resist orange, or even lime green...but then again, I'm a bit of a madman in that regard ;) .

A constant line of titanium frame locks.
Swayback, Bowie, SpydieChef, K2 maybe something else in there with not quite as tall of a blade with a robust tip about 3.75” blade.

Tatanka minus the choil and reducing the handle length by a full inch.

Another run of the Kapara without the carbon fiber.

My top two favorite full sized edc folders that I don’t own and would really want to;
C144 Caly 3.5 super blue steel version, gray g10 scales, bronze wire clip &
C90 stretch zdp 189 version with peelply carbon fiber scales.
Would love it if these 2 models came back into production

Any idea when such a creature would be released?

I really hope next year - Sal and co have been pretty quiet on it, but it's been in the works for a long time now. I really do think it will be soon - I think 2020 and all delayed it for sure. But I think folks have seen prototypes - not 100% on that though.

As someone who doesn't really like lightweight models (or at least the idea of them, never carried one) I'd like to see spy27 with g10. I have my eye on a manix and native eventually, but there just doesn't seem to be the right set up available at the moment.

I've got s30v in a shaman, k390 in a pm2, and maxamet in a para 3. Magnacut and spy27 look really interesting but again, I don't like frn!

Kicking myself forever for not grabbing a rex45 g10 manix when they dropped.

That... in 4V would be my JAM! Especially if it had a little wider blade like the Manix XL.

Mm, I would like this.
I really would, the back lock has stopped me from buying this awesome design... and a few others matter of fact. Not that I don’t trust the back lock it’s just if I can open a knife with one hand I should be able to unlock and close it with the same one hand.

The compression lock is just easy and strong, it has all the best aspects of a liner lock and axis lock. You can use the back to hold and open/close or hole it open. Just a wonderful design. I have been asking for a comp-lock in the Civilian 2 which has been in the works for some time, and while I am not 100% sure if I will get that, I MAY get something close enough in the form of a reverse-S Paramilitary 2, which has not been released but has been seen by folks in one of the Glesser's pockets at some Blade show or something. Comp lock coming for the Military 2.

Also, another thing to add to this list considering all the talk of the milled aluminum "PM2 Lightweight" that came out, weighing only 3.25oz, a quarter oz lighter than the regular PM2, and the fact that a real FRN PM2 LW might come out, is a Yojimbo 2 or Yojumbo LW. That would be a good idea for folks wanting to get a Yojimbo in the hundred dollar range. Or let Janich do his re-grinds to a bunch of different blades in batches, like he does on Enduras and Delicas on a different website.

Sucks, man, those were just discontinued, I stupidly got a ZDP Endura instead of a Stretch, and then the Stretch was the model they discontinued...
But at least they are keeping the Endura and Caly 3.5 around in the steel. I was afraid it was going away permanently.

I think you can still get the zdp stretch 2. I like the size and look of the first stretch model with the carbon fiber scales and zdp blade, if they gave it a cqi treatment and reproduced the knife with those changes and best of all a compression lock. Then wow, that’s a winner

Another thing I was thinking, is that the Stretch 2 is, to me at least, very similar to a "Budget PM2". I haven't seen the blade stock or anything yet, haven't seen it up close, but from the pics and size, it seems very similar to a PM2 in FRN. I'm really thinking of one!

When Spyderco made the Resilience with a blue FRN bi-di-tex handle and S35VN steel, they pretty much made what I wanted. I was hoping for that in LC200N, but really I am loving the S35VN. Keeps a great edge, and easy to sharpen, especially after my regrind. Spyderco can retire now. (I kid!)
