Ok everyone mark your calendars the dates for the WNY Gathering 2011 are in place. The dates are July 16th, 17th and 18th. Thought we would try a Saturday, Sunday Monday this year. Roger (never too sharp) and I have been in touch with toooj Paul from Ka Bar and he will be coming again for the third year in a row and will be bringing some Ka bar products for us once again. Last year we had 15 show up through out the weekend and had a really great time. Hope to see some new faces and old one as well. More details will be posted as we get them. Thanks Doug (DPKnives)
 
Good food, good beer, fishing, chopping, camping and maybe some archery. It'll be a good time, just like the previous years. Oh yeah, and knives. Lots and lots of knives.

Just over a month away. I am buying a beef loin and having it cut into steaks for Saturday night so that should be a good meal. I am also borrowing a large grill from my boss so we will be able to cook on charcoal all weekend. Doug
 
I've been pondering this since i saw the thread last week!
I think ResueRiley invited me to the WNY put up or shut up last year. I wasnt able to make it, and regretted not being able.
Wholeheartedly pondering this......I need to get the heck outta here and do some camping. Even car camping....I havent had a good campfire in a very long time. I wish you guys were holding this a little closer to the Watkins Glen area, My old rust bucket makes me a bit shy about driving the 120 miles one way into unfamiliar surroundings.
Would love to meet you all.
If fortune shines and the stars align, i would very much like to make it.

Could bring my collection for everyone to fondle, although there are only a few in it that i actually use regularly. Could possibly bring some for sale if Auntie Yangdu was willing to send a few and there was interest.

We will see....

What else would i need to bring, i guess is my question?
 
Your self, a tent, a little cash to pitch in for food, a trap or tent car to sleep in. Of course knives and what ever else you wanted to. We usually have targets set up for bows, we now have a large chunk of wood on legs to throw hawks and knives,. there are fish in the pond, and frogs. we do hang out and do a lot of shooting the breeze too. Hope you can make it should be a lot of fun once again. Doug
 
Karda, that would be sweet if you could make it. And I would certainly buy a kuk if you brought some for sale. Let us know if there's anything we can do to make it happen.
 
Just 2 weeks to go. I have a few items I made as giveaways made up. The main course for Saturday night supper will be ordered soon as well. I hope we have a good turn out. Doug
