WNY Gathering 2012

haha That is awesome man. I am really hoping to make it out. Drove through perry last night when I took the GF to the drive in. Very pretty country out there.

Man you pry went right by the gathering spot. You could have stopped at the pizzeria I work at before you got there. I was working too. Doug

All,

Toooj is officially in for Saturday July 28th. Probably early afternoon, staying for 2-4 hours. I swapped the AG Russell show with Offical_KA-BAR.
See you all there.

Paul Glad to hear you are coming it will be great to see you and hang out. Doug

Twinstick that pan is epic. Ya know... you should season that up maybe run a few test rounds of bacon. You know, for science.

It's already seasoned, but hmmmm B_A_C_O_N. Bet it could handle 3lbs or more ! I've always wanted one of these pans LOL, looking at the 36 cup SSteel Cabela's coffee pot too ! BeckerHeads like good food & lots of it !!! :D

Great news Paul ! You da man ! :D:thumbup:

Good to see some fellow WNY here, I will have to try and stop out. How many people usually make it?

The last 2 years we have been right around 15. We will have to see what happens this year. Doug

Looks like the grub will be good this year! I'll bring along my dutch oven, and fix up something to add to the banquet. :D

Got the lid for that 20" skillet ! The screw prompty stripped out of the handle when i gently installed it ! 2 trips to the hardware store & it's good to go now ! :D I was thinking of bringing my #12 dutch oven as well. Not sure if he wants ground fires or not, so i thought if i removed the handle, i could use charcoal/wood inside the dutch oven & put the skillet on top, to cook with ???? Not sure if that would work or not. :D

An old cookie sheet on some bricks or cinderblocks can serve to hold your charcoal, and it keeps the fire up off the ground.

Doesnt look like i'll be joining you this year guys......:(
I've got too much on my plate here, no extra money and no vehicle.
I really enjoyed myself last year despite getting massive hay fever and sunburnt to a crisp.
I will be with you there in spirit.

My Ang Khola Bowie was hoping you'd beat the crap out of her some more, Mike.
She enjoyed it and I really enjoyed the look on your face....:D

To anyone having reservations about attending this.....Don't.
And don't miss out on meeting some really fine people and wonderful hospitality.

Beer and bacon - how can anyone say no?

Ya know there's a restaurant here in Erie, PA called "3B's Saloon." Stands for Beer, Bacon, BBQ! I didn't realize you were so close Doug! I grew up in Clymer in Chautauqua County.

That Restaurant sounds like a neat place. I have heard of Clymer not sure I have been there. 3 weeks it all kicks off. I am buying a bunch or hot dogs, a bunch of burger, a bunch of BACON. I will have at least 3 cases of water and I am sure I will be grabbing some BEER too. My wife is doing pulled pork for Saturday nights dinner. She may be making home made cole slaw as well and salt potatoes, and if luck is with us fresh sweet corn At least we should eat good. Doug

I bought a case of beer as well & will have a 5 gal cooler full of ice water. Maybe will bring some taters & eggs to go with the bacon. Bring your appetites for breakfast. May have some some killer custom flavored coffee as well. Not sure if i am bringing the Mothership basecamp or not yet. Hoping to get up to Dougs today or tomorrow & take a look-see.
