Thanks Anthony. I enjoy the ZDP very much, but I got it more for the blue handle. You can get a decent VG10 in black FRN for much cheaper.
And yes, that other Stretch ZDP is in fact Carbon fiber, I believe the grippy "peel ply" type and with exposed stainless liners.
A lot classier than mine and a bit heavier, but also more expensive.
Hope you get some type of Stretch soon!

Very cool, did not know that! My local shop had two of them....wish I would have gotten them. I "settled" for the green ZDP version, still an awesome knife.

Same here! Worse, I had one and gifted it, having preferred smaller knives at the time. I wish I had picked another up before they were discontinued. ZDP189 and peel ply CF is a rare breed.

Wow, has it been that long already? Sure glad I got it.

The peel ply CF is a killer looker now that I oiled the handles slightly again, the knife has seen a lot of use I believe by its previous two owners. The texture is smoothed out due to use and the handles were dry to the touch, but I really cant complain. I wear smooth spots on G10 in 2 moths of EDC so I am use to it and nothing a bit of oil cant fix.
