WOOOO-HOOOO!!!!

I received a box yesterday from Dan Pierson which I pulled out of the mailbox in a downpour, in the dark, after a long day at a Holiday Bazaar with no customers.

When I looked at the package and saw Dan’s name I knew that one of my favorite knives was inside. A NESSMUCK! That is such a cool knife. This one was made the way George Washington Sears would have had it done today. Dan you really did this knife proud. I prefer a thin blade knife like this and I love the copper pins. Your choice of materials are spot on, and I gotta tell you, your sheath is very well made.

This knife will be on my side when we get the next warm spell here in Tennessee. That’s when I’ll be running the woods for a couple of days.
Thank you for such a wonderful knife Dan and thank you Stacy for all the work you put into this KITH. These few words can’t express my appreciation for how lucky we are to be able to exchange such awesome knives with one another. Only in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Patrick Burns

I'm having trouble with the photo so I'll ask Stacy to post it for me

WOO HOO my KITH knife arrived today all the way from Mike Diebert in Nicaragua. And what a Chopper it is to behold !

My intial impression is WOW. A perfect combination of form and function.

This is a large chopper obviously made for hard use and fits my hand perfectly with a very secure grip. The graceful flowing lines of the blade would be a well suited design for either a using grade or collecting grade knife. I like the design enough that I'd love to see Mike make another more refined version. It would be the ultimate Chopping Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde set :D

I especially like Mike's material choices. Everything about this knife and sheath has a warm provided by mother earth feeling. The forged finished flats, warm natural wood, copper, brass, steel pin, and rugged sheath all work together to create the feel. Nothing sterile or antiseptic feeling about this blade !:D

I snapped a few quick pics in an attempt to show some of the graceful curves of this fantastic Chopper

Woo-Hoooo My KITH Knife Arrived (from Ron Flaherty)

What a great knife, could not be happier!!

Love the tiger stripes, nice lines and feels really good in the hand. Sheath is done very nice as well.

Funny thing is the other day my son and I were looking at the Official KITH Photo Thread and he saw your knife and said that it he wanted that one and I said yeah that would be nice and today I got quite the surprise!!!! All I can say is thank you Ron, I am sure that I will enjoy it for many, many years to come. I will try to get some picture out later on tomorrow.

Thanks again,
Mike

WOOO HOOOO!!!
Yup,my KITH arrived today:D,and I couldn't be happier!
I scored a beautiful little pocket fixed blade from Justin Reeder.
This thing is great;nice and thin, super sharp, and begging to be used. The handle material is some nicely figured redwood burl and sits perfectly in my hand.I'm really diggin' the sheath as well, meant to be worn in the pocket-(right where my old edc was)
Enough gushing-on to the poorly taken pictures...

Thanks Justin,it will see plenty of use.And thanks Stacy for organizing this.

Merry Christmas

I arrived home to find a large flat priority mail box from MichaelC sitting
on the couch. It contained this:

An immaculate, mirror polished EDC of ATS-34, black micarta and
416 stainless. A classic of a style very different from what I make
and thus all the more valued by me. Michael also included a pair
of black walnut root handle scales, a very welcome gift to a root
junky like me.

Thanks a lot Michael for the knife and Stacy for organizing and running
this very smooth KITH. Now to go find something to cut :D

Dang Josh, you about made me blush! Thank you for your very kind critique. I'm happy this piece found a home with someone who will appreciate it. Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde? I like the idea. Have to see what I can do. Anyway, you are very kind and your words mean much to me. Chop away my friend!
Mike

this is the first time in a week that I've been able to set up right in a week. and want to thank Joe Hoover for the wonderful present I had when I got back from the ER, last Tues. Haven't been able to sit up to say thanks, and want ya to know it is very nice. I've had plenty of time to sit and look it over and am proud to have received it. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow, it would give me a good reason to try and get down stairs.

All knives have been shipped,AFAIK ( waiting on confirmation on the last one, but am sure it was shipped). Seventeen have been received.

Just a note to the person who sent their knife to me. I had it sent to where I'll be in a week. I'm traveling visiting family and didn't want to miss the knife so I had it sent to my last stop before leaving for my home in Nicaragua. I'll try to call to confirm delivery but I won't be able to handle my my KITH knife until Dec. 22.
Thanks,
Mike
