I got my KITH knife today, it is Bill Akers, (BA Custom Knives) Snakewood with 1095 and a hamon. It is extremely well done, both the knife and the sheath. I told Bill I was going to carry it, but now it will be reserved for "Dress Carry" I am very pleased to have it. Thank you Bill. Thank you Stacy for all your contributions to this site.

Tonight at the post office I found out I got drawn by a fellow Canuck - Larry Connelly!
I recived his very nice hunter in O1 steel, Bolivan rosedwood handle, and brass guard. This knife is comfortable in the hand and I look forwad to putting it to use! Thanks Larry!
I'll post up pics later:)
Thanks for organizing this Stacy!

WOO HOO my KITH knife arrived today all the way from Mike Diebert in Nicaragua. And what a Chopper it is to behold !

My intial impression is WOW. A perfect combination of form and function.

This is a large chopper obviously made for hard use and fits my hand perfectly with a very secure grip. The graceful flowing lines of the blade would be a well suited design for either a using grade or collecting grade knife. I like the design enough that I'd love to see Mike make another more refined version. It would be the ultimate Chopping Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde set :D

I especially like Mike's material choices. Everything about this knife and sheath has a warm provided by mother earth feeling. The forged finished flats, warm natural wood, copper, brass, steel pin, and rugged sheath all work together to create the feel. Nothing sterile or antiseptic feeling about this blade !:D

I snapped a few quick pics in an attempt to show some of the graceful curves of this fantastic Chopper

I got mine. It's a sweet hunter from Mark Knapp. It's razor sharp, feels great in the hand, and a real beautiful knife. Thanks Mark!

Jasperdog,
My mother-in-law confirms that the knife has arrived. I won't be there to see it until the 22nd but I am extra excited to know I have a present waiting for me at the house! Can't wait!

WOO-HOO!, WOO-HOO!, WOO-HOO! did I say WOO_HOO! my KITH knife arrived. Yep I finally got it. I was worried for a while but it's here now. It was definitely worth the wait. I was lucky enough to get Stacy's knife. Beautiful little hunter/utility type with stainless damascus blade, sterling silver ferrule, and mammoth ivory handle. This combination of materials makes for an extraordinary little knife. It is also the first knife in my meager collection to be made from any of these materials so that makes it that much more special. Stacy I can't thank you enough for the knife and also for holding this KITH and doing it so smoothly. Also, my hats off to all the makers for entering so many wonderful pieces. This is my third KITH and the most enjoyable so far. Thanks one more time to all involved and also Merry Christmas.

My KITH knife almost went into the washing machine today! It's so light in the back pocket that I forgot it when I threw my pants in the laundy basket. It's a very comfortable handle. Thank you, Mike.

Whoo Hooo - my knife from Mathew arrived today, it is a great little kitchen knife with a wicked thin edge. In fact I have already used it prepare supper! Mathew must have spent hours on the finish, he did a great job on it for a blade that was not annealed. Thanks Mathew.

I always love these threads.

Almost enough to make me do a knife for the event. I have only completed one, and have another two in progress....

But I think it will be a long time till I would feel right about sending one of mine in exchange for any of these!
