Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

That's beautiful!! What model is that?

I enjoy seeing the change in appearance with wood as it ages. I received this Mora 106 a couple of weeks ago.

Some judicious oiling, along with foolishly handling it with soot covered hands after making a fire, and she almost looks like an old tool.

Do I spy another signature Buck Cadet? :D

These are the only decent wooden handled knives that I have . Old pictures at that and with other knives as well in the photos. Robeson TL-29 and Northfield 77 Barlow in African Blackwood.

Those blackwood knives are certainly beyond "decent", Harry! That Robeson continues to elude me, great find!

Relatively new to the porch and traditionals. I am getting a decent collection going, but this thread made me realize I need more wood;). This NW Madison Barlow is the only traditional I have in wood...Osage Orange. Loving the snake wood in the prior posts!

There's been a lot of osage going around lately, I must say I am becoming fond of it rather quickly. :o

I know this has micarta as well, but I recently picked this up because I fell in love with the figure in the ironwood burl:

I don't think it has to be all wood for WW, right? :)

Easily the nicest wood I've seen on any of those Finnish carvers. Great WW selection.

That knife is a top-tier WW knife but I really think the star is that torqued lanyard "arm" off the butt of the knife. It doesn't come across looking out of place at all, and that's gotta be difficult for such a starkly different feature. It's not cast iron, is it?

Amazing transformation, it already looks like it's got quite a lot of miles on it yet the blade is completely full. That'll be a solid user for a long while.

Haven't carried this one for a few months:

Still don't know how I haven't got a single one of that pattern yet. That Queen is fantastic and it looks like you hit the jackpot at least with the mark side handle.

Today's WW carries. The MAM was essentially a direct transfer from mailbox to pocket. :D

I agree, couldn't be happier with the covers. The pattern is also a favorite of mine and Queen does it well. By the way, the pile side ain't too shabby either:

My latest knife off the exchange is a 45 year old Case, which looks brand new. It has walnut scales, for Wooden Wednesday.

Thanks Paul. This is a great knife.

I have it next to my rope knife (SFO Lone Star) for comparison. It is Teak wood ships deck.
