This has a wooden handle and is Traditional , so I assume it is OK to post here :)
This is actually an EDC axe .
It is kept behind the seat of the truck and goes everywhere with me , used it yesterday to drop a couple of small trees at work .
Quicker than getting the chainsaw started and the safety gear on .

The post brought me a Coyote just in time for WW.
My new example has great Osage covers with (what I call) silking for cross cut.
Sorry for the not so good pictures, it's raining.

Toted this Queen #49 to work today, and ended up giving it away to a co-worker who just swooned over the zebrawood.

Gave it away???!!:confused::D Your co-worker got himself a knife jackpot there Jeff, most generous.

Zebra is one of the best woods Queen have ever offered, I lament its demise.

Regards, Will

My Coyote showed up just in time too, hamsco.

Excellent looking Osage, Rachel. I went for the jigged bone coyote myself.

Beautiful knife Mr. Primble!!
Nice photo as well! Are the arrowheads local for you?

Yes sir - I found them and the Kestrel feather in my local fields. Thank you.

Both knives are great, but that second one has such great character!

:thumbup::)

LOTS of great wood today EVERYONE ! Looks like Rachel got the cream of the crop for her little Coyote pup !:D

For today's wooden wednesday I want to share with you a special type of spanish folding knife:
although at first sight it may look like a Taramundi, actually It's made some miles away from the village of Taramundi in another village called Santa Eulalia de Oscos. Once you look closely you begin to spot the differences the ferrule is brass and is worked and carved and also shorter than in the typical Taramundi, the handle may seem painted but actually is carved with gouges and then is submerged in a dense shellac and then sanded to reveal the pattern.
hope you like this piece of spanish tradition
