Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Carrying my Queen Cocobolo Canoe today. I always underrate this knife in my collection, but it is really a great user.

@SteveC I'll never tire of seeing or get over the beauty of that Remington.

Great looking 25, Alan!

I've got my Enderes (1916-1926) Bare Head Jack with me on the foggy, overcast day. A previous owner unfortunately took this one to a grinder/buffer, but I guess it's all for the better because I don't mind actually carrying it.

This here is a Rough Rider kit knife. Nothing at all special on it's own, but for me it has a lot of sentimental value. It was the first folding knife I ever put together, as well as my first real traditional. I've had a few SAK's before but not a full-on, bolsters and brass liners grandpa knife. It's cheap China stainless, The blades have different and too light pull weights, and the layers aren't exactly lined up right, but I like it for the experience and what it represents, not what it actually is. It was fun, I learned a lot, and it got me hooked on both traditional knives and knife making.

For anyone that's interested, I highly recommend these kit knives. They're called the "Rough Rider Custom Shop" series and there's a trapper, a stockman, a 110 clone, and a couple others I'm forgetting. The parts come already shaped and heat treated. You just assemble, sand and sharpen. They cost about as much as a fast food lunch, and if you can build a birdhouse or a fence then you can do this just fine.

Carrying my Bruce Culberson Necker to test out a custom made blade cover by James of AZ Slipcraft (I follow him on instagram).

He makes them by measurement and picture, which considering how well it fits is incredible. Also, he made it and got it to me in less than 5 days after getting the measurements, and that's including shipping. It was pretty tight and tough to sheath at first, but now that it's brokensome it is easy to sheath and unsheath.

I'll make a full thread about it after I've carried it a week.
