Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

...A wonderful pair, James! That NF 77 is a real beauty, probably a dream configuration for me: 77 Barlow with Ebony/blackwood covers and a spear blade. A match certainly made in the heavens...
Thanks Dylan, the Blackwood Spear is without any doubt my favorite NF barlow.
Looking forward to seeing the next (soon to be) batch of NF barlows. :)

Mail call Ebony Madison just in time for this thread.

Just opened up this Ulster E/O Jack about an hour ago and said to myself "HEY... it's still Wooden Wednesday!" :D These old Ulster's have amazing half stop and snap. The wood on this one is probably the best I've seen from Ulster... I'm sure its Cocobolo and just hasn't turned dark like a lot of the other older ones I have that almost look black.

A nicely run-in Dixie Stockman you show today Ron, what a great pattern it is, wish they'd do another batch soon.

Thanks, Will

That looks like a knife that has seen some solid use! I love how Osage tends to change/evolve with use and exposure.

Gentlemen, thank you for the comments on my Dixie. I am very fond of the blade choices on the 82 and the Osage Orange is also a favorite of mine.

Will Power Will Power That's a stunning piece of wood. Is it walnut?

joeradza joeradza Alan, that is a mesmerizing piece of burl. I love finding "faces" in wood grain, and I can see quite an angry fellow in your piece.

My Osage handled @JK Knives Bluegill is absolutely singing in this sunlight.

Wood Wednesday is getting away from me. Varying shades and species of dark wood, Macassar and Gabon Ebony, African Blackwood, and the 42 Rendezvous 2012 Lock Back is a really nice, deep American Walnut.
