My gosh, just ran unto this thread and needed a bib. This is going to be tomorrows EDC once 7th coat of truoil dries. Maroon pad and hot wax follow

Handle is curly maple and magnetized scabbard is unstabilized amboyna burl, soaked lovingly in truoil mineral spirits 50/50 with a dash of acetone and shellac flakes for flavor

Once fully dry in 7-14 days we polish with a cotton sock and pulverized pumice stone spirits/slurry

This is todays Wharnecliff with handles and scabbard cut from one continuous piece of cocobolo. Numbering keeps grain pattern flowing together

Then renaissance wax and start on a new one

This beautiful Cocobolo #93 arrived today. The mark and pile sides are very similar with the grain sweeping in the same direction as the handle. F&F is perfect with phenomenal walk and talk. Just a really cool knife. Even my 9 year old son said “dad, I want that knife!”
