Sure. This was the first Northwoods fixed blade after KnivesShipFree owned the brand. Bark River made the knife. Here are some of the original details.

That's one I would like not to have missed.
More than a nice knife, appears to be very purposeful and it's a great size. Looks good in tiger maple (?) too. :cool:

Thanks. It is very stout knife with a thick blade stock. So it is the opposite of the thin blades which make great slicers on most of my pocket knives. It can be used to chop down small trees.

I was disappointed when the wood lightened very quickly after buying it. But it has been several years now and I like the contrast of the lighter wood with the dark carbon fiber bolster. Here is the original KSF picture.

We usually think of wood darkening with age but you're right about the lighter maple looking good in contrast to the carbon fiber. That's a really special and handsome Northwoods you have, small trees beware. :)
