A lot of ebony today.

I've been carrying around this old Miller Bros. the past couple days:

It's not often one sees a recurve pen blade. ;)

I'm thinking that pen blade might come in handy for whittlin'.

Once I gain some knowledge and gumption, hopefully in that order, I hope to do something with the tip of the main....

Oh my oh my, what a beautiful pair. That little carver is little indeed, it's so hard to judge the size without a reference...

I just picked up the kitchen knives from the post office, so I carried them too in a way :)

Getting an early start on WW, since I am doing some knife cleaning before turning in for the night.

My son was in town last weekend for a buddy's wedding, and before he went back home Sunday he said he wanted another knife to go along with his yeller peanut, something a bit bigger. He looked through the various options afforded him and selected my Schrade Walden 832 stockman.

So, I'll be totin' tomorrow my only remaining wood handled knife, the ebony LF&C jack.

If the transmission had not just gone out in my van, I'd be seriously thinking about replacing the 832 with one of those curly zebrawood Queens.

Doug - I'll miss not seeing the Schrade Walden anymore. I really loved the colour of those scales. But needs must obviously. Hope you get the tranny fixed okay.

I selected my Taramundi in Ebony for today.
