Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Have you dried out the olive wood to your satisfaction or does it still rust the blade if you leave it closed overnight?
It dried out considerably, to the point where the blade swung free. I had to tighten up the pivot pin again, and re-file the stop pin flush with the wood. Then I applied a beeswax/olive oil finish and no more signs of rust have appeared :).

Really like that new handle, Tom!:thumbsup::cool:

Well-groomed walnut on a variety of knives, Mike & Gus & Todd!:cool::thumbsup:
Walnut for the win! 🤓

The only knife I'm carrying this week with ligneous covers is this rosewood Hartshead Barlow lambsfoot that I call LamBarJack:

Thanks Jeremy, Skol is looking sharp! (pun intended) 😊👍

Barrett, have you been carrying that 6-pack of commemorative Coke around for more than a quarter century?!? That's really cool!:thumbsup: 🤓 One of my favorite Sports Illustrated covers of all time is from 1978 with Sidney Moncrief of Arkansas going up for what looks like it will be a vicious 2-handed tomahawk dunk, with the ball cocked way back behind his head. When I first saw the cover, I thought, "This has to be a posed photo. That couldn't possibly be going down in an actual collegiate game!" I just didn't realize how good players were becoming.

I hadn't noticed the change in that line of Opinels, and I agree with you that the change is NOT an improvement! :( My boars have kind of goofy looks on their faces, but I prefer having the detailed depictions of the animals so I can notice that goofiness to the animal silhouettes and some "habitat" on the new models.

Sorry I missed this reply from last week, GT. Yep, I’ve had those Coke bottles since 1994. 😁

We lived about 30 minutes from Fayetteville, and my grandparents used to come up from Little Rock and take my brother and I to Razorback games. I remember watching that game on TV. It was pretty exciting, even for an 8-year-old.

Here’s a recycled pic of my #86 Angus Jack for Wooden Wednesday, from the last trip I took back to Arkansas.
