This week I'm carrying 10 knives representing 8 countries from my "international collection" (which doesn't include SAKs, knives made in China, or British lambsfoot knives). A bunch of those 10 have wood handles.
From Spain, a boxwood Taramundi and an olive wood Joker:



Representing France, an oak-handled Opignel #8 (a gift from my daughter, purchased in Spain):

My Italian representative is a CEM agricultural folder clad in bubinga:


My last wood knife for Wednesday is from South Africa, an Okapi Biltong with "resin-impregnated wood":

So many beautiful woods in the world. Think I've always appreciated beautiful trees but seeing the many grains always fascinates me. Some wonderful curly maple.
