Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

James, not only did I reshape the Opinel handle, intentionally, but I discovered after doing so that the blade's tip was exposed, so I had to reshape the blade as well, which was definitely not part of my original plan.
Here's what I saw when I closed the blade after my handle mod!

My "fix" was to use a file to remove the metal marked in red in the next photo:

It turned out much better than I feared it would!

Thanks for the compliment on the rosewood. It is quite special, I think, but the photo I posted above (using some kind of "dramatic" filter in my computer's photo processing app) probably accentuates the grain! Here's another shot without the filter:
