  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

A very nice trio Gary. What a sweet Cannon.😍
Thanks for the encouragement, Bob. :)
I used to always see a set of 3 different blade shapes for those Cannon knives for about $12, and I wondered about their quality. I finally took a chance on them, and they're very solid, well-made knives. I imagine the blades are not premium steel, but they cut the stuff I've wanted them to cut, and I seem to have little trouble keeping them sharp on the unglazed ceramic cover of a candy bowl.

This knife recently came in from John Lloyd. No pattern name ,John said he copied it from a French cutlery book & drew it up about 10- yrs ago. Hafted in ebony ,the steel is Bertie Rietveld Shaya Damascus (ss) . It's a neat little knife ! I'm glad he finally built one of these ,well 3 actually
