World War Z

Reminds me of the movie Airheads

Rex: 67 copies of "Moby Dick".

Suzzi: The movie or the book?

Rex: They made a book outta that?

I'm looking forward to seeing World War Z! I hope that it won't be overly hyped up.

The book was great.

The trailers for the movie did not impress me. Looks like it really got the Hollywood treatment--one guy is the key to saving humanity from extinction. Oh, and he's handsome, of course. Not so relatable, but I heard it was still fairly good and fun.

Hell ya!! It won't like the book, which is actually the book that got me into Z-books, but I'm looking forward to a good Zombie flick. I've watched just about every B movie about Zombies and the Undead, so a high end production will be a big relief. I personally can't get enough of the Zombie (Apocalypse) books/movies. Been into it for years, moved on from the Werewolf, Vampire, Monster movies to Zombies.....Fun Fun! Horror movies rock!

Saw it this evening. Really a good movie full of tension and action. It used some aspects of the book but not much. It was just an adrenaline rush fast action zombie flick. I liked it a lot but don't expect it to resemble the book. At all.

Saw it tonight and got my money's worth good movie! Although the zombies were a little bird like for my tastes

Bird like? Wait don't answer that! I am so excited to see it. I think all the Busse Girls are going to go see it next Tuesday. .

Saw it last night, worth the money. Glad to see they can still make a great movie without a lot of nudity and Fbombs.

Just started the book recently. As for the preview showing a thousand zombies scrambling up a 100 foot wall on top of each other... We'll see. And now the living dead can be described as bird-like?

I have been excited to see this since I first saw the trailer months ago! I love me some Brad Pitt for sure!

They some more like insects than birds to me. Ants, to be specific. Swarms upon swarms of ants.

My wife wants to see it. Should I expect something smart and well-written, or should I just lie back and enjoy it at face value?

id like to go see it sometime while its in the theater. it one of those that i think will be best on a very large screen.

Not sure ANY adaptations/movies can compare to a well written book. Saw it today though and it was very enjoyable. I got lucky that it was playing the same time as Monster University. Sadly, I did want to see that too, but my daughter and wife decided to give me a pass. :)

I read the book when it first came out, so it is a pretty good number of books ago. I don't remember the zombies in the book as being "fast movers" as depicted in the trailers for the movie. We're going to see it tomorrow.

Nope, Max Brooks was pretty clear in his depiction. The walking dead are just that, dead. Slow moving, good eyesight, no brains but determined to get moving objects, able to walk and "survive" underwater, and since they're dead and have no body heat, they are able to freeze solid if the temperature is cold enough
